Shop for fine tea and coffee, bathware, gardening tools and kitchenware. Fowlers and Kilner preserving goods are highly sought after. Choose your favourite loose leaf tea, soap cut from the slab, enamel pie dishes in a dozen sizes, or gardening gloves with the perfect balance of toughness and sensitivity. You're sure to find something you need, either on our new online store or in our much-loved old store, where the ding-ding of a brass bell sounds arrivals, the scent of bulk tea, soap, candles and linseed oiled floorboards arouses curiosity and eyes settle with ease on natural textures. We couldn’t let the passing on Monday of Wendell Berry (1934-2026) go unacknowledged. Though still largely unknown in Australia, his essays, poetry and fiction have been a constant in our lives since encountering his words over thirty years ago. In the words of Barbara Kingsolver we have often asked ‘What Would Wendell Do’.
A demanding, and forgiving, voice that confounds all political categories, he defended the small, the human scale, and the wild world throughout his life. More than that, he lived, as best he could, a life that conformed to those demands.

With thanks and RIP Mr Wendell Berry, Port Royal, Kentucky.

Entries close Monday 21 September, with artists invited to submit their work online ahead of this year’s exhibition at Nundle Memorial Hall.

The Nundle Art Show will be held from 6–8 November 2026, bringing together artists and art lovers for a wonderful weekend in Nundle.

Chickens helping to grow food and shade. The girls peck and scratch at fresh hay, that is raked up daily for them to scratch at until it is recycled as manured mulch around trees and garden beds. Soundtrack by resident pardalotes.
