The wait is over!! I was very excited to be the first customer for The Midlands Laundromat Company, and what a great little laundromat it is!
It’s so clean and shiny and the best bit for me is it’s straight across the road. No more late night “bugger, I forgot to hang the towels out” moments 😂 well done Holly (not me, the tall Holly), it’s a real credit to you, I can’t wait to see it with all your bells and whistles complete 😊

💚 Farewell to our beautiful Stephen… or Andrew, as some of you knew him. 🦚

It’s with very heavy hearts that we have to share some sad news about our much-loved peacock.

On Friday evening, Stephen, the peacock, was the victim of a hit and run. He was badly injured, but with the help of some wonderful people, every effort was made to save him. Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts and the care he received, he was euthanised this morning at Bonorong.

We are absolutely heartbroken. 💔

Stephen had become such a special part of Hollison’s and of Oatlands. He was a beautiful, familiar sight around the property and certainly had a personality of his own! So many of you stopped to admire him, take photos, or simply smile when you saw him wandering around.

Whether you called him Stephen or Andrew, he was our towns beautiful peacock, and he will be very, very missed.

The place just won’t be the same without him. 🦚💚

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to help him on Friday night, to those who cared for him, and to the wonderful team at Bonorong who gave him every chance and made sure he didn’t suffer.

Fly high, beautiful boy.

Well it’s Friday night again...
The cake fridge is stocked, lots of paninis and toasties made, Caroline had a big day making her beautiful pies, there are plenty of Renae’s “quickly becoming famous” sausage rolls, and my mars bar cheesecakes. I had a go at the vanilla slice and some soups, and lots of other things I’ve already forgotten 🤦🏻‍♀️ ready for a busy weekend.

I’ve just got home and collapsed on the couch after 27 days straight of mostly 10-15 hour days, even the poor dog needed a drink after that stint 😂 so you won’t be seeing me on the weekend, I have a hot date with my bed and some very overdue bookwork, while Caroline and Fraser fill all your coffee and comfort food needs 😋
