There is a specific kind of magic that happens when the calendar flips to a new month. It’s a moment of pause—a deep exhale after the hustle—where I find myself sitting down to sift through the data of the past thirty days. For me, tracking what sells isn’t just about numbers; it’s a heartbeat check. It tells me where we’re thriving, what’s capturing the public’s imagination, and exactly where our growth is rooted.

June, however, was in a league of its own.

As I pulled the reports and scanned the analytics, one theme emerged with undeniable sweetness: June was officially the month of the "Sugar Rush."

The sheer volume of it was staggering. Looking at the final tally, I realized we had produced approximately 2,000 images for our customers. To put that in perspective, that is 2,000 moments of celebration—birthdays, anniversaries, office milestones, and "just because" treats—all brought to life through cakes and cookies.

Seeing that volume, I couldn’t help but be taken aback. It’s a "wow" moment, to be sure, but it’s also a humbling one. Behind those 2,000 images were our bakers that applied them to amazing Sweets.

As I close the book on June, I’m not just looking at the growth in our sales; I’m looking at the growth in our capability. We’ve learned what our customers crave, and we’ve proven that we have the talent to deliver it at scale.

Now, with the sugar-dusted memories of June behind us, it’s time to look ahead. Trends shift, seasons change, and the next challenge is waiting. But for today? I’m just going to take a moment to appreciate the incredible work of our team and the sweet success of a record-breaking month.

It is Wednesday—the midweek hump that feels less like a hurdle and more like a black hole swallowing my productivity.

I’m currently standing at my workbench, staring at a slightly (we'll go with CHOATIC) surface, and I have a confession: I have officially misplaced five pick tools since Monday. You know the ones—those slender, sharp little appendages that seem to have legs of their own. One minute, I’m picking a acrylic pieces, removing heat tape, flicking filament, and the next, I’m patting down the workspace like I’m searching for a lost contact lens, only to realise the pick has vanished into thin air.

I simply cannot be the only person whose job involves tiny, pointy objects that seem to develop a survival instinct the moment they hit the desk. It’s like they’re playing a high-stakes game of hide-and-seek where the only prize is my growing displeasure.

Lucky for me, I have a secret weapon: my husband.

He has this uncanny, almost supernatural ability to walk into the room, scan the chaos, and point to a spot that I have looked at no fewer than fourteen times. AND ASK "Is this it?"
