My latest fi wished project was a headboard for my queen sized bed. I purchased it years ago as a blank slate that I wanted to decorate. It is covered in beige linen which I thought would be fun to paint on. Of course my love for colour and flowers had to feature prominently. I wanted to make it feminine, somewhat imaginative and inspiring . I am moving into a new residence at the end of the year in a rural setting surrounded by lots of trees and wildlife. I'm very much looking forward to the serenity and plan on painting my heart out while in such beautiful surroundings. Now I have to completely change the rest of the decor to complement it. The process of executing this project was a true labor of love. Lots of stopping and starting and painting over areas until I was satisfied. Just a couple more tweaks to go. I used acrylic paint. No specific technique involved. I just painted with my heart. The colours are vibrant yet soothing. I'm happy and content.

I'm working on a large project. I am painting flowers on a linen bedhead for my new home. A very long way to go as I'm only a few hours in! It's very therapeutic and meditative.

This is an acrylic painting I've been working on for many months. I knew what I was aiming for but couldn't quite get there. After many changes with colours and background I'm finally ok with it. I'm learning to put my works in progress aside and tweak them over a period of time until I'm happy with them. What's your process with your art?

About 20 years ago I bought a resin lamp in the shape of a male horse. It was completely covered in tiny red mosaic tiles. He was named "Lorenzo" which I thought was a very appropriate name. He added an element of sensuality to my decor. Alas, over the years Lorenzo lost a lot of his mosaic tiles. He's been sitting for years waiting for a makeover and it's finally happened. I have set him up in a corner of my living room so I can lustfully gaze at him. I think I've finished his upgrade. After I watch him for a few weeks I will determine if anything needs to be added or changed.
I used metallic acrylic paint and acrylic pen to embellish him. I have added one of my hand made necklaces to caress him. This was a fun project.

Beautiful blooms in my studio to make you smile. All made using traditional papier mâché techniques with a twist. Lots of colourful energy in these beauties that will last a lifetime. What a wonderful way to brighten up your home.
