It’s been a while I posted a picture.
I made this bridal bouquet using the plant material I grow in my balcony. 😊 Yes , I have to wait so long to get enough succulents . It was challenging to make this small bouquet than I thought because of the delicate nature of the succulents.

Hoya flowers

This flower brings back my childhood memories. One of my aunties used to grow Hoya plants. When I first saw this flowers, it reminds me small earrings with flower shapes. In Sinhalese we say “Karabu” for earrings. So I used to call this flowers as “Karabu mal” . “Mal” means flower in Sinhalese. Hope you like this “Karabu mal” as well. 🙂

One of my favorite spring flowers. This is also called as ever lasting daisies because they dried nicely . There are many different varieties of them. In floristry we use them as fresh and dried flower. Next time if you get some paper daisies don’t throw them out with other flowers, just dry them and enjoy long term.

This beautiful flower display is in Australian botanical gardens at Mount Annan, New South Wales. This is only for short period of time (until early October). So you still have time if you like to visit this year. 😊
