For this 2023 award-winning Mt Lawley laundry, the real magic is hidden. Pull out laundry hampers, ironing board, and a motorised drying rack that lowers from the ceiling… keeping everyday function completely out of the way and of sight.

Proof that the most functional room in the house deserves the same level of consideration as any other.

This month on the drop we're sharing a piece we've been loving lately: the Embellished Dining Chair from Zuster.

We've chosen it for an upcoming project, that we can't wait to see come to life. It was an easy pick.

Beyond being genuinely comfortable, it has a beautiful silhouette, with a stitched detail that gives it a refined, timeless feel. It comes in both faux and genuine leather, with plenty of colour options to suit different interiors, and the dimensions can be customised to suit your space.

Zuster is such a wonderful company to work with — all of their furniture is designed and made in Melbourne, and we always love supporting Australian-made products where we can.

Some details are only obvious once they’re pointed out.

BEHIND THE DESIGN | Master Suite Door, Crawley Penthouse.

The entry to the Crawley master suite was designed with the same care as the room beyond it. A statement veneer door slides fully into a concealed cavity for a clean, uninterrupted opening. While the deeper, layered frame gives the doorway architectural presence and creates a striking transition into the suite. A matt graphite pull handle sits quietly against the timber, chosen for how it feels as much as how it looks.

Bifold pocket doors open fully and push right back into the cabinetry, keeping everything hidden while still giving full access to your appliances. Behind them, you’ll find pantry storage, pull-out drawers, and space for the coffee machine, toaster and all the messy extras you don’t want on show.

A smart idea for smaller homes or tighter kitchen layouts where hidden storage matters as much as style.
