6 Feng Shui rituals to reconnect with yourself 🙏🏽

You can love someone deeply and still realise you’ve slowly disappeared inside the relationship 🌿

Your routines become ours. Your needs move down the list. Your space becomes completely shared. And eventually you wonder: “Where did I go?”

If that were me, I’d start at home 🫶🏼

💬Comment UNLOCK if you're ready to go deeper and I’ll send you my Mapping Your Home for Abundance workbook, a step-by-step guide to understanding your space, identifying what may be keeping you stuck and intentionally creating a home that supports the life you’re calling in ✨

1. Reclaim one space
Choose a corner, shelf, desk or bedside table and make it intentionally yours.
🔸Your environment should reflect that you still have your own identity, needs and energy.

2. Release what no longer feels like you
Ask: Would I choose this today? Let go of what represents an outdated version of you.
🔸Clearing physical reminders of the past creates space for something new.

3. Bring back what makes you feel alive
Add your favourite colour, flowers, art, books or something connected to a hobby you’ve lost touch with.
🔸Choose 1–3 things that instantly feel like you.
🔶Your home should nurture your individuality, not just function.

4. Make your bedroom a sanctuary
Clear visual clutter, remove work-related items and add softness and calming light.
🔸Your bedroom should feel like a place to restore, not another space asking something from you.

5. Create a reminder of who you’re becoming
Choose an object, artwork or word that represents the qualities you want to embody.
🔸Your environment can become a daily cue for your intentions.

6. Reclaim one ritual
Morning coffee alone. Yoga. Journaling. A weekly walk.
🔸Coming back to yourself requires moments where you hear your own thoughts and honour your needs.

Feng Shui isn’t about creating a perfect home.

It’s about creating the conditions to come back to yourself 🤍

September is your reminder to reset the energy you’re living in ✨

A new month doesn’t always need a complete home makeover. Sometimes, the smallest shifts can change how your space feels and how you move through it.

💬 Comment UNLOCK and I’ll send you the link to my workbook to help you map your home, identify where energy is getting stuck and create intentional shifts based on what you want to invite more of.

🔸Signals alignment and forward movement

2. Clean your light switches
🔸Refreshes the points where you activate energy

🔸Clears depleted, stagnant energy

4. Empty one forgotten junk drawer
🔸Creates space for fresh opportunities

5. Wash your reusable water bottle
🔸Refreshes the energy around nourishment and flow

6. Clean the underside of your dining table
🔸Supports nourishment and gathering

7. Place a small bowl of fruit in the kitchen
🔸Symbolises nourishment, vitality and abundance

8. Clear dust from the tops of your doors
🔸Keeps energy moving through your home

Follow for more grounded Feng Shui and intentional interiors and share this with someone who needs a September reset ✨

Your home has a few things you’ve been pretending not to notice 👀

A new month doesn’t need a dramatic reset. Sometimes it’s the tiny things you’ve been tolerating for way too long.

And yes, Feng Shui notices those too 🙏🏽

If one of these called you out, save it for your September reset and send it to someone who needs it too 🤍

1. Clean the top of your fridge
Yes, that surface
🔸Neglected areas can create stagnant energy

2. Throw out the one container with no lid
We all have it. Nobody knows why
🔸Incomplete objects can reinforce unfinished energy

3. Finally use the candle you’ve been saving.
For what? Your retirement?
🔸Your home should support the life you’re living now

4. Throw out the charger cable you have no idea where it belongs to.
You’re never going to identify it.
🔸Unused things create unnecessary visual noise

5. Put the lone sock somewhere its soulmate can find it or chuck it
The laundry gods have had enough
🔸Small unresolved things create background friction

6. Get rid of the mystery keys
If you don’t know what they open, why are they still here?
🔸Keep what gives you actual access, not clutter

7. Untangle the one necklace you keep wearing tangled
You’ve accepted this as your personality
🔸Make everyday rituals feel effortless

8. Throw away the instruction manual for something you no longer own
Why are you still keeping it?
🔸Let go of information you no longer need

9. Deal with the single item you keep moving from room to room
It clearly hasn’t found its home yet
🔸Give everything a place instead of carrying the decision around

Tiny things. Surprisingly telling ✨

If you’ve been feeling like your home needs a deeper shift, I’d love to help you figure out what’s really going on. Book a consultation through the link in my bio 🦋

If you’re trying to call more abundance into your life, this is one place I’d actually pay attention to 🔥

In Feng Shui, the stove has traditionally been connected to wealth, nourishment and the resources available to you.

Here are 7 tiny stove habits to start with:

1. Keep it clean
Grease, crumbs and old food create a sense of stagnation around an important area of the home.
🔸 Give your stovetop a proper wipe down and clear anything that doesn’t need to live there.

2. Use ALL of your burners
Do you automatically use the same one every single time?
🔸 In Feng Shui, using all burners symbolically opens you to more sources of opportunity rather than relying on the same pathway.

3. Fix burners that don’t work
A burner that has been broken for months is an unfinished problem you’re seeing every day.
🔸 Repair it instead of unconsciously adapting around it.

4. Actually cook in your kitchen
A beautiful kitchen that’s never used has very different energy from one that nourishes the people living there.
🔸 You don’t need elaborate meals. Make tea, warm something up, cook breakfast. Bring it to life.

5. Don’t let the stove become storage
Pans, chopping boards, mail or random things piled over it can make the area feel blocked.
🔸 When you’re finished cooking, reset it.

6. Look at what surrounds it
In the Five Elements, the stove represents Fire. If your sink is immediately beside it, you have Water and Fire sitting together.
🔸 Introduce Wood between them where possible, a wooden chopping board is an easy little bridge.

7. Treat it like something valuable
Because Feng Shui isn’t only about where objects sit. It’s also about how you interact with your environment.
🔸 Caring for the places that nourish you reinforces a completely different standard in your home.

Will wiping your stove make money appear tomorrow? No ✨
But your home is constantly reinforcing habits, standards and patterns.

6 things to know before using a wind chime to shift the energy of your home 🎍

Sound is one of the simplest ways to introduce movement into a space. In Feng Shui, wind chimes are traditionally used to activate or redirect Qi, but how you use them matters.

💬Comment UNLOCK and I’ll send you my interactive Feng Shui workbook to help you understand and transform your home ✨

1. Heavy vs. light chimes
Light chimes create softer, delicate sounds. Heavier chimes create deeper, resonant tones.
🔸Want gentle activation? Go light. Trying to shift a space that feels heavy or stagnant? Try a deeper sound.

2. Indoor vs. outdoor
Wind chimes aren’t just for outside. Try a smaller one near an entrance, hallway or window.
🔸Outside, wind activates it. Inside, airflow, opening doors or simply walking past can create movement.

3. What energy are you breaking up?
A forgotten corner? Quiet hallway? A room that feels flat or stagnant?
🔸Give your chime a purpose. Place it where you actually want to introduce movement.

4. It’s all about vibration
Sound is physical vibration travelling through the air.
🔸Feng Shui uses sound symbolically to activate Qi, while physically you’re introducing vibration and sensory stimulation into your environment.

5. Choose a sound you LOVE
Listen before choosing your chime. Does the sound relax you, energise you or annoy you?
🔸Something intended to create harmony should actually feel harmonious to you.

6. No wind chime? No problem
Try music, bells, a singing bowl, clapping, humming or your own voice.
🔸It’s about introducing sound and movement. Choose whatever connects with you and the energy you want your home to hold.

One tiny shift can change how a space feels. Now imagine intentionally shifting the energy throughout your entire home and what that could change in how you feel, live and show up ✨

You keep noticing it and still leaving it 🫠

Most people think it’s small, but this is exactly how a home slowly shifts without you realising.

💬 Comment UNLOCK and follow me and I’ll send you the link to my interactive Feng Shui Workbook, your step-by-step guide to understanding your home, shifting its energy and creating a space that supports the life you actually want 🏡✨

It’s not the big things, it’s what you’ve slowly started to accept:

1. Walking past something I’ve already noticed and still leaving it
🔸a glass on the bench, shoes slightly out of place, a tag still on something
your brain registers unfinished every time you see it like low-level mental load
🔶fix it the first time you notice it, 5-10 seconds removes the loop

2. Lowering my standards when I’m tired
🔸leaving the kitchen half-done, not resetting the space before bed
you wake up into yesterday’s energy instead of a clean start
🔶pick one non-negotiable reset, like clear bench or empty sink

3. Keeping things where they don’t belong, just because they ended up there
🔸a bag living on a chair, keys floating around, a pile that became normal
your space starts organising around chaos instead of intention
🔶give it a real place or remove it, no in-between

4. Living with small annoyances I deal with every day
🔸a lamp too dim, a drawer that sticks, awkward daily reach
your body subtly tenses and compensates, every time
🔶fix one annoyance per week, small shift, big difference

5. Letting my home reflect my habits instead of who I want to be
🔸cluttered bedside, things you don’t love, spaces you avoid
your environment reinforces your current patterns
🔶adjust one area to match the version of you you’re stepping into

It’s never one big thing.
It’s the small moments you decide that it’s fine for now 🌱

But your home keeps the record.
And over time it reflects what you tolerate, not what you actually want to live in.

If this felt a little too accurate, you’re not the only one.

A little re-introduction feels fitting after reaching such a beautiful milestone with this community 🤎
So hi, I’m Mel!

I’m 33, an interior architect, certified Feng Shui consultant & yoga teacher, but there’s a lot more to me than what usually makes it onto this page.

So I thought I’d share a few of the random little things that make me, me. Some you might expect, others probably not 🤭

What started as my little corner of the internet has grown into a community I’m incredibly proud of and a business that allows me to bring together everything I love: interior design, intentional living & helping people feel genuinely good in their homes 🌿

And if you’ve been quietly following along thinking one day I’d love Mel to look at my home, this is your sign ✨

Maybe the magic isn’t missing. Maybe you just need to make a little more room for it ✨

I love tiny rituals that turn your home into a physical reminder of what you’re ready to welcome next. A little intention, a little Feng Shui and maybe a little woo woo 🤭

💬 Comment UNLOCK and follow me and I’ll send you the link to my interactive Feng Shui Workbook, your step-by-step guide to understanding your home, shifting its energy and creating a space that supports the life you actually want 🏡✨

9 things to do at home before your next miracle arrives:

1. Write your wish on a bay leaf and tuck it near your front door
🔸Let your intention meet the energy entering your home

2. Put one extra place setting at your table for a night
🔸Physically make room for more connection and abundance

3. Place a coin in the Wealth corner of your home
🔸A tiny symbol of what you’re ready to receive

4. Open your front door for 9 minutes in the morning
🔸Welcome fresh Qi and new opportunities in

5. Put something beautiful in a corner you normally ignore
🔸Wake up a forgotten part of your home

6. Write YES on a tiny piece of paper and hide it somewhere.
🔸Remind yourself you’re available for unexpected opportunities

7. Place an empty bowl somewhere beautiful overnight
🔸Empty space symbolically creates room to receive

8. Light a candle and name one thing you’re ready to welcome
🔸Give your intention a physical moment of attention

9. Leave your curtains slightly open before bed
🔸Let tomorrow’s first light symbolise a new beginning

A little woo woo? Absolutely 🙏🏽 But sometimes the smallest rituals change how you interact with your home and remind you that you’re ready for something new. ✨

You’re not stuck. Your home might be keeping you there 🪷

We spend so much time working on our mindset, habits and goals, while overlooking the environment we’re living those changes inside 🌿

Your home isn’t just the backdrop to your life. It’s constantly giving your brain and body cues about what feels normal, safe and possible.

💬Comment ALIGN if you’re done trying to figure it all out on your own and you want support creating a home that actually supports where you’re going ✨

1. Always exhausted?
🔸Your bedroom may not be supporting deep rest

2. Constantly overthinking?
🔸Visual clutter may be giving your mind too much to process

3. Feeling unsupported?
🔸Your bed or desk placement may be putting you in a vulnerable position

4. Money never seems to stick?
🔸Broken items, leaks and neglected spaces can reinforce a feeling of scarcity

5. Struggling to move forward?
🔸Your entrance may be blocked, forgotten or energetically stagnant

6. Feeling disconnected in your relationship?
🔸Imbalance around the bed can subtly reinforce imbalance between two people

7. Lacking motivation?
🔸A space that never changes can reinforce the feeling that nothing else is changing either

8. Manifesting a completely different life?
🔸Look around. Your home may still be telling the story of the old one

Sometimes the shift isn’t about trying harder.

It’s about creating an environment that makes the version of you you’re becoming feel at home 🏡✨
