The Straddie Arts Trail is almost here! Make sure you save this post so it’s handy when you’re planning your Arts Trail itinerary.

This year we’re excited to have Chris Hooper in the studio, sharing live demonstrations from 10am throughout the event.

I’m an artist.

Of course I stop to photograph shadows on the sand because they might become my next pattern.

Of course my sketchbook is full of wave lines, shells and colour swatches.

Of course I can’t find the exact coastal print I’m imagining... so I draw it myself.

Of course I believe beautiful things should also survive real life—kids, dogs, salty air and all.

Of course every collection starts with a tiny idea inspired by North Stradbroke Island.
