Some so called 'security doors' might look the part, but they don't play by the rules.

Here’s how to spot the difference and ensure your home is protected with a truly compliant security door:

NO COMPLIANCE LABEL? NO SECURITY DOOR.
A proper security door is manufactured to strict Australian Standards and undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it can stand up to the job. Every compliant security door should leave the factory or warehouse with a compliance label—your guarantee that it meets Australian Standards.

PET DOOR = BARRIER DOOR
We love our furry friends, but once a pet door is installed, the security door is no longer compliant. Even a small opening can compromise the door’s integrity, downgrading it to a barrier door. Cute? Yes. Secure? No.

SINGLE POINT LOCK - NOT CUTTING IT.
A real security door is supplied with a 3-point lock system, securing the top, middle, and bottom. This critical feature prevents the corners from being forced open. Single points are ok for flyscreens, but when it comes to security, three’s the magic number.
