A little re-introduction 👋🏽

Hi, I’m Daphne!

For those who have been here for a while - you probably know this page as my little corner for interior styling. And although my love for interiors will never disappear, life has taken me on a slightly different creative journey.

Four years ago, my family and I moved to Jakarta. During that time I continued working on interior projects remotely, but mostly I embraced a slower pace of life, exploring new places and making beautiful memories with my boys!

Before moving to Melbourne, we spent six months back in the Netherlands. It was there that I started working with my lovely friend Esperanza at I am shooting portraits 📸 | Portret fotograaf. She introduced me to the world of portrait photography and shared so much of her knowledge with me.

Looking back, photography has always been part of my life. Whether it was documenting our travels, capturing my boys growing up, or photographing beautiful spaces, it’s always been there.

Fast forward 1.5 years, and I’m still lucky enough to work alongside her from Melbourne. Together we’ve even created an iamshootingportraits (home)studio here… how cool is that? 🙌🏽

So this page is growing with me.

You’ll still see beautiful interiors, but you’ll also see families, portraits, travel, homes, and all those little moments that deserve to be remembered.

I’m currently building my portfolio, exploring where this journey takes me, and saying yes to new opportunities. I honestly can’t wait to see what other sides of photography cross my path.

Omdat we veel meubels op maat gaan laten maken in Jakarta toch een klein plannetje voor ons eigen huis!
Foto 1 wat het ongeveer moet worden & Foto 2 hoe het eruit zag toen we kwamen kijken!
Zo’n zin om hier onze eigen plek van te gaan maken 🙌🏽

Zó dat is lang geleden! Het is hier even wat stiller, maar niet zonder reden.
Op 17 mei is namelijk onze zoon Joes geboren! Dus ik heb de afgelopen maanden flink genoten van dit heerlijke ventje en mijn verlof! Maar toch heb ik ook zeker niet stil gezeten, want naast wat kleine StudioDol opdrachten, zijn we vooral heel druk geweest met ons grote avontuur; verhuizen naar Jakarta! 11 oktober vliegen we voor 3 jaar naar Jakarta met het hele gezin 🙌🏽
In Nederland stopt StudioDol dus voor nu, maar ik hoop in Jakarta zeker verder te gaan met StudioDol! Blijf StudioDol vooral volgen voor interieur inspiratie, ons Indo avontuur en alles wat komen gaat 👋🏼
