RMA is delighted to announce, alongside our client, collaborators and consultants, the planning permit approval of Peninsula Residence.

Thank you to our client, who had extraordinary vision for this property and the confidence in RMA to deliver. It has been both a privilege and an honour to be commissioned to work with them on this exceptional site.

This outcome would not have been possible without our trusted network of consultants who share our high standards and cradled the integrity of the design through the permit, protecting our clients interests and realising their vision.

Set within an area impacted by landslip and stability issues, Peninsula Residence required a highly complex and carefully considered design. While local concerns regarding structural implications were raised, the design was so highly resolved and considered, that this provided the necessary reassurance and the application proceeded without appeal.

This approval is one of many RMA designed residences in some of the most challenging environments around the world, achieved through a deep understanding of each site’s unique conditions, strategic management and through close collaboration with the most experienced consultants.

On 8 March we celebrated International Women’s Day across the world.

At RMA, we are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by talented women who play a vital role in our practice every day. Their intelligence, creativity, empathy and leadership shape our studio and the work we produce.

This day is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate their achievements and the impact they make — both within our team and across the industry.

I often reflect on the influence of my mother, both in life and business, she was clever, artistic, and had a wonderful sense of humour. I have trusted the judgement of women my entire life because she showed me what could be achieved

It was a few fantastic days of inspiration and collaboration as we captured and celebrated our client’s residence.

It has been an honour and a privilege to design with our client and create a home that is a true reflection of his spirit, kindness, and sense of community.

Together with an exceptional team of consultants, craftsmen, and suppliers, we brought his vision to life, a home thoughtfully created to be lived in and enjoyed with family and friends.

Landscape, architecture, and interiors, guided by strategic management, came together to make our client’s dreams a reality.
