From the Rails to a New Chapter 🚂❤️
This old piece of railway history has been given a whole new lease on life.
It all started when Mav had the brilliant idea to begin the restoration THE DAY BEFORE! Father’s Day, with the plan of creating something special for Dad. I was honoured to be apart of it.
My brother and I took on the challenge of restoring the top section, carefully bringing it back to life while keeping as much of its original character, history and charm as possible.
What started as an old, weathered piece of railway history has now been transformed into a beautiful outdoor setting — while the original wheels, frame and railway workings remain proudly on display beneath it.
From maintaining the railway to making memories — a little piece of the past has been given a new purpose and a new chapter, restored by family, and given a new life to be enjoyed by everyone. ❤️
Soon it will have seating, becoming part of a beautiful space where people can sit, relax, share a meal, have a drink and enjoy something that has a little bit of history behind it.
Sometimes the best things aren’t about making something new… they’re about giving something old a reason to keep going.
