SquirrelKnots I like to make things, my main medium for creating is using yarn, mostly crochet, but I will dabble in lots of things.

I am also learning pyrography and if I feel in the mood, I will pick up a brush and paint something.

Well that turned out OK! 😄 I love the features on this one, I was actually going to put the stem and vine on top like the other one but decided it didn't need it. The only thing I am thinking about is maybe some creepy graby arm with claws. 🤔

This one is made using Scheepjes softfun and my 3mm hook.

The features are felt and I used black acrylic paint around the edges blended into the middle, then they are sewn on. I've just realised that I should have used fabric paint, cause if it gets wet I'm pretty sure it's gonna run.

And this is the end of my little spooky season 💀👻🎃

Sometimes when I sew bits onto crochet, no matter how firmly I pin those bits in place, they move as I'm sewing. I have learned to roll with it, this time the features crept up the face, so I added a couple more rows to the top of the base, we'll see soon how that's affected the shape of my purse.

Meanwhile, I am loving the felt applique features with paint!!

Today I'm playing with spooky purses again, same purse, different techniques. I've used some paint, on felt and a tiny sewing needle to applique some features onto this purse.

🤞 Hoping this will look as good in reality as it does in my head. 🤔😘

I've been dying to have a go at one of Coastal Crochet's patterns, so when I saw that the Scheepjes CAL this year was the Perfect Picnic by Eleonora I was excited.

But I don't need another blanket project, I already have 3 on the go, I certainly didn't need more yarn! And I really didn't need to try a new yarn that I've not had in my hands before .. oh wait ... yes I do!

So I picked the Picnic After Dawn in Cotton Create kit and wow that's some pretty colours! Not to mention that soft cotton yarn. I think I may have found my new favourite cotton yarn.

I used a 4mm hook for the Tunisiun part and a 3.5mm for the rest. I haven't weaved in my ends yet and I still have one more round to go to finish part 1, but I just have to share how pretty it is looking! 🥰🧺😘

The second try turned out pretty awesome!

This one is a touch bigger, using Scheepjes Softfun and my 3mm hook. The features embroidered on and the eyes are felt applique.

The clasp is an 8.5cm kisslock.

Second Skellington Purse done, and I'm so happy with this one!!

He's made using Scheepjes Softfun and my 3mm hook, so he's a touch chunkier than the first try.

He still has features embroidered on, and felt applique eyes, but I think the expression is better this time. I do love that even though I do things exactly the same way, the human touch means they are all different and have their own characters 💀🖤

The clasp is an 8.5cm kisslock purse clasp, and it's lined with some awesome Nightmare Before Christmas fabric.

Well that turned out alright for a first try, I think I'll change the face a little bit, and maybe change the shape....

And I have some exciting fabric to line one with instead of the plain black.

Watch this space, I'm definitely going to do more with this.

I have some ideas rattling round my head this spooky season.

This prototype is made using some Panda Magnum 8ply, and my 2.5mm hook.

I think it looks OK so far, let's see how it looks when I get it lined and in a kisslock clasp.

These are the cutest! A special make for the sister and cousin of a little girl who got the first one just after I started making amigurumi.

The challenge was to try to make them similar to the original. I think I've done ok.

Oh yeah and these are made to specifications requested specially for those girls, sometimes that was a challenge, but I think they'll be happy 😘

They are made using the free Unicorn pattern from TreTroll on Ravelry. It's published in Swedish but Google translates it fairly well, it's not very detailed though so not really a beginners project 😉

I used Scheepjes Softfun for the main part of them.

The rainbow mane and tail is made using 4ply white cotton and Rainbow Trailway from Scheepjes and the solid rainbow tail and mane are made using Scheepjes Catona.

The horn on the pink unicorn is made by double stranding Gold thread from Yarn and Colors and holding with 4ply white cotton.

The second cutie has some pretty blue peepers. She's a pretty little sunshine girl ☀️
