Hello everyone,
I have chosen some whimsical photos for this layout from using the collection Delighted Curiosities from Uniquely Creative - Creative Kit Club, It is quite an easy but cute layout.
I chose two photos and double mounted them using the Uniquely Creative Coordinating Cardstock Bundle Stonewashed and Mocha.
The patterned paper is Garden Relics…. I loved both the colour and the pattern of this paper. I cut out the green striped tag from the Forgotten Treasures page and added it along the top edge of the photos as shown in the photo. Then it was just a case of selecting and placing ephemera from the Creative Cuts and the Essential Ephemera.
I finished the page by spritzing with white acrylic paint and using the edge of the brush along the edges of the page.
Cheers and Happy Scrapping,
Heather Bensley.

Good afternoon all,
Another beautiful design from the Uniquely Creative - Creative Kit Club.
I have created a double page to start the month with.
I have chosen the pages titled Pressed Botanicals. I have torn the first page into two pieces approximately at 2/3 and 1/3. Using the 1/3 size as the Left hand side of the Left hand page. And the 2/3 piece is the right hand edge of the right hand page.
Then using the zig zag pattern side (reverse side) I have cut these to size to make two 12” x12” pages. Your measurements will reflect how you have torn your first page. Because you will have to overlap or under lap …..your choice….your pages to glue them together I have used the barcode strip from the bottom of the pages and also I have cut a strip of Sage from the Coordinating Cardstock Bundle to ensure that my pages measure 12” x12”.
I have used the Sage and the Stone washed from the Cardstock bundle to mount my photos. I distressed the edges of the bottom layer of the photo mats.
Lay photos on your pages and add ephemera as shown in the photos. I have inked all my ephemera with Distress ink Vintage Photo. I have used foam mounting tape on the ephemera to give dimension. Or Adjust ephemera to suit your photos. These pages can be adapted to add more photos than shown.
Before I glue my photos down I spritzed with white acrylic paint.
I hope this helps you to use and enjoy this kit.
Cheers,
Heather Bensley.

I’ve been creating more pages using the beautiful Simple Stories Simple Vintage Timeless Harmony Collection and I’m loving how they’re coming together.

Today's page is a pocket page inspired by the Journal Bits which are part of the collection. Pockets are a great for adding photos, tickets, tags and other little bits of memorabilia. I love being able to include those special pieces that help tell the whole story!

The background paper is from the 12 x 12 Vintage Basics Kit which is part of the whole Collection.

Hello all,
Well, this kit by Uniquely Creative - Creative Kit Club seems to be the kit that keeps on giving. My last one…. I think ….from this kit.
I used the Cogs Overlay in white and also the cogs die from the kit. I then painted them with distress ink. Using a mix of colours and just kept adding and dabbing until I was happy. I used walnut stain, black soot, Rusty hinge, fossilized amber and cracked pistachio.
I cut one of the die cuts into pieces and added around the Cogs Overlay.
And then to finish I added various ephemera from the packs. I spattered a little black acrylic paint and finger distress with the black around the edge.
Nice and simple. I hope it inspires you. Enjoy.
Happy Scrapping,
Heather Bensley.

I'm sharing an art journal that I have created for The Scrap Room craft store using the Pine Festivities rice paper by 3Quarter Designs. This is the first time I have ever done a Christmas art journal page but it came together really quickly and easily.

To create this page I cut the elements from the rice paper that I wanted to use on the page. A combination of Oxide Inks were added to colour match the rice paper and blend it in with the background. Random stamping and stenciling was done over the edges to hide the joins. The edges of the pages were inked for contrast and dimension. The sentiment is from the 12x12 paper pack which has been trimmed down, distressed and adhered to the page. To finish accents were added using a gold gel pen.

Today I'm sharing a set of three A2 cards that I have created for The Scrap Room craft store using the Pine Festivities A4 Vellum Sheet and 12x12 paper pack by 3Quarter Designs.

These are A2 top folding cards. I've designed them this way so that when you stand the cards up on display the vellum is a semi transparent and are the star of the show as the feature panel.

I've cut down three pieces of gold cardstock to be 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches and the coordinating paper panels to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches. I lined them up with the original die cut card front, placed the die on top and ran them through my die cut machine. This will ensure your panels all line up perfectly.

Next I adhered the vellum panel to each card then the coordinated gold cardstock panels over the top to sandwich the vellum in between. The patterned paper panels were added on top of the gold mat layer.

To finish I cut thin borders using the same dies and you don't need nesting dies to do this. All you do is trace around the outside of the die and cut out the shape either with a paper trimmer or scissors. So you will have an oval, square and rectangle pieces. Place the die back down on these pieces, tape them down so they don't move and then run them through your die cut machine. You will have a slim border. You can also use nesting dies but I wanted a slimmer border for these cards. Adhere the gold frames over the cut out areas to complete the cards.

The easier way to do this is to cut down your paper panels, mat onto gold cardstock and add to an A2 card base. Then die cut each of the vellum panels and mat onto a gold cardstock panel in the same shape and adhere to the card base. The only real difference is that you wont have the semi transparent feature of the vellum panel.
