I tried a different process with this one—woven in natural raffia first, then dyed once the basket was finished. ✨
I'm so happy with how it turned out. The dye settled beautifully into the weave, creating depth, texture, and a unique finish that makes each piece truly one of a kind.
Handmade with patience, creativity, and a love of exploring new techniques. 🖤

Every stitch, weave, brushstroke, and handmade piece created in the lead-up carries meaning and connection. It's a reminder that our cultures are living, thriving, and continuing to be shared across generations.

Looking back on past pieces, I can see the stories they hold and the reasons they were created.
Each one reflects where I was in that moment—my thoughts, emotions, experiences, and connection to Culture and Country.
Some were born from joy, some from healing, some from growth, and others from reflection. Together, they create a timeline of my journey, capturing moments that words alone could never fully express. It's a reminder that art is more than what we create—it's a reflection of who we are and where we've been.

Sometimes the smallest scraps come together to create something beautiful. Using leftover pieces of hand dyed raffia, shells and creativity, this cute little scrap basket was born. 🧺🖤
A reminder that nothing goes to waste when imagination takes over. Every piece has a story, and every basket is one of a kind.
