A slice of spring time 🌼

I never planned to be a florist. I did 10 plus years in the hospo industry and it wasnt for me 😅 Selling my art on the side made it bareable but I still felt trapped.

After a difficult break up I and moved back across the city to the bush in 2023. I quit my job as it was too far to drive. Then applied for every entry level role on seek and gumtree that I was unrelated to anything I'd done before.

Out of 50 applications, one got back to me which was a flower wholesaler. I worked in the warehouse house for a few weeks and then quickly moved to making bouquets and arrangements.

Since had a few jobs in the industry and currently work for one of Perth's premium florists while also doing my own native focused flowers. I'm very grateful for some very amazing mentors along the way 🙏

I'm still only a few years in and constantly learning and growing but I think that's part of the beauty of the floral industry. I'm so glad that I followed the feeling and found a career that is suited my passion for nature and my creativity.

Even with its challeneges I'm really grateful I get to enhance spaces and create smiles with flowers 🫶

I made this bouquet three times to get it just right and safe to say the bride was obsessed! Cascading gum, wild textures of the natives against the soft garden roses. Perfect for this fae Queen 🧚‍♀️

It was truly an honour to witness this beautiful celebration of love surrounded by Mother Nature and I will cherish this day for the rest of my life. Wishing these two beautiful humans all the joy and happiness on this next chapter 🫶
