I’m building a flower farm from the ground up 🌱🌸

No big team. No established farm. Just a patch of Queensland dirt, a lot of flowers, and a slightly ridiculous dream to see what I can turn it into.

I’m growing, learning, selling and building Fairview one season at a time and sharing the whole thing as I go.

Up with the sun this morning, cutting ranunculus for today’s special orders.

Pink, white and those incredible pops of orange, grown right here, picked fresh from the rows and heading out the gate today.

This is exactly what I imagined when I started Fairview. 🤍

Special orders are always welcome and are filled with the very best of what’s blooming on the farm that week.

A little more personal than what I usually share here.

We lost someone incredibly important to our family today, and this afternoon I found myself down amongst the flowers as the sun was setting.

I’d made this little video of Fairview, and the words suddenly felt a little closer to home.

The bad news is, everything is temporary.
Which is also the good news.

There’s something about growing flowers that reminds you of that constantly. Seasons change. Flowers bloom and fade. Hard days come, and eventually they pass too.

Tonight, I’m especially grateful for the people we love, the time we get with them, and this little patch of ground that gives me somewhere quiet to be. 🤍

It won’t last forever.

Fresh bunches of our premium Italian ranunculus, grown right here at Fairview, are waiting in the stall this morning.

Happy Friday from Fairview 🌸

A frosty start this morning, but one of those mornings that makes you stop for a minute and take it all in.

The sun coming up over the flower rows, ranunculus covered in dew… and me outside planting roses with freezing fingers 😂🌹

It’s hard to imagine what this little patch will look like in a few months, let alone a few years, but mornings like this make the building part pretty special too.

After the rain, I couldn’t help but wander down to check on the stock flowers.

Everything feels a little greener, a little quieter, and they’re growing by the day.
