Our Story

The Timber Gazebo team live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

We started out as 3 friends and after several years of good-times we decided to seal the deal and become business partners too! Cheers to that!

Tony, Chris and Sofia founded Timber Gazebo in May 2019.

A little bit about Tony... Tony is a fully licensed Builder on the Sunshine Coast with years of expertise in the trade. Alongside Timber Gazebo Queensland he runs another business called Eazy Buildz which started in October 2015. Tony has spent many years in the insurance industry and has project managed large council and government projects ranging from $10,000 to $1M.

A little bit about Chris... Chris is a multi-skilled Carpenter whom qualified in 2005 in France, Europe. He has worked on many luxury designer and architectural projects throughout his career! Chris came to Australia in 2012 to travel and work in this beautiful country and hasn't looked back! He has been working for Tony in Eazy Buildz since 2016 and they have been best friends ever since! If there is anything to know about Chris; it's his true passion for woodcraft and quality; and since starting Timber Gazebo it has only fuelled those passions!

A little bit about Sofia... Sofia comes from the UK and also came to Australia in 2012. She has a background in all aspects of the travel and tourism trade. She has been all around the world and is now settled on the Sunshine Coast! Her passions are for business, marketing and all things nature! In her experience she has won several awards for her Customer Service and Sales. She is friendly, knowledgable and ready to help you purchase your Timber Gazebo!

So Why Timber Gazebo? Our idea came about on a fun long-weekend camping trip up the coast when a family member asked us for ideas on an outdoor entertainment area for her new backyard! She wanted an affordable yet stylish option that didn't break the bank (unlike a large decking verandah area!) None of us liked the look of the faded scruffy Bali huts that you see around, and we knew a Pergola was out of the question with the Queensland weather so we came to the conclusion that a Timber Gazebo was the best choice!... and so... the seed was planted...
