WE’RE NOT MAKING JOURNALS. WE’RE MAKING BOOKS.

Before books were mass produced, every journal, sketchbook and ledger was made by hand.

Pages were folded. Signatures were stitched. Covers were constructed to protect what was inside for decades.

Tomorrow night you’ll learn those same traditional techniques and build your own hard cover journal from scratch.

Not decorate one.

Build one.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about understanding how a book actually works and then creating one with your own hands.

We’re kicking off the school holidays with something a little different.

For one day only, Becc from Weasel Design is bringing her Hat Burning & Decorating workshops to The Dandy Lion Studio.

🔥 Burn intricate designs
🎨 Add colour, embellishments and personal touches
✨ Create something completely unique

A morning workshop for kids and an afternoon workshop for adults means everyone gets a chance to create their own wearable masterpiece.

No experience needed. Just bring your ideas and we’ll provide the rest.

Kids Workshop

Adult Workshop
1:00pm–4:00pm

🎨 School Holiday Creativity is Back! ✨

This July we’re painting, weaving, sculpting, knotting, decorating and creating our way through a colourful collection of hands-on workshops for curious, creative kids.

From Hat Decorating with Becc from Weasel.Design to Monster Mobiles, Crazy Weaving, Seriously Silly Sculptures and Crazy Critter Collages with Shelley, there’s something for every young maker.

✨ Small groups
✨ Hands-on creative fun
✨ Take-home artworks they’ll be proud of
✨ Plenty of imagination and creative confidence building

And who knows… some young artists may even be invited to exhibit their creations as part of COLLIDE later this year. 👀
