I can tell you my favourite white, but I can’t promise it will be your favourite white.
It is not because we are gatekeeping. Paint does not behave the same way in every room.
The colour on your walls will be affected by the natural light, the direction the room faces, the flooring, the ceiling height, the cabinetry, the stone, the furniture, the greenery outside and even the globes in your lamps.
That is why one person’s perfect white can look creamy, grey, yellow or stark in someone else’s home.
A good paint colour is not chosen from a tiny swatch or a saved Instagram image. It is chosen in context.
Because the real question is not, “What is the best white?” It is, “What is the right white for this room?”
