Our Ensuite is finally complete!

4 months of DIY, so much work, so many decisions, and let’s not forget all the planning & design stage prior to that, and it’s FINALLY done! 🙌🏻😅

Thought I’d do a little tour and share all the details we implemented and love in our dreamy little Ensuite.

Thanks for following along guys, and all your votes in stories I shared along the way, We are now 90% done, then we can move into our pantry and laundry makeover.

I absolutely love when a space comes together, especially when the rug is this beautiful and just fits the space so perfectly.

The Gaia rug in Tonal Forest Green from Miss Amara brings that touch of vintage whimsy, warmth and the quiet touch of luxury, what a difference a change of colour and time can make in a space..

We added this built-in power point into our ensuite vanity shelf, hands down one of the best $64.95 we’ve spent on this renovation.

We are almost finished this ensuite reno and boy did we add a few cool little features, to make our lives a little easier, I can’t wait to share how it’s all come together very soon, we are now ready to pave the floor.

The click 3 outlet, tucks right into our shelfie, what a space saver 🙌🏻

So No cords on the bench. No ugly adapters. No fighting for the one plug in the bathroom.
Just click, plug, charge, done and pop away 👌

Our Sanctuary - Another week, another Refresh and some captured moments to look back on that make me feel happy.

Our microcement didn’t quite dry the way I expected.

Ahh what a week 🤦🏻‍♀️ this little dilemma turned out to be a winner 🙌🏻

However, lucky we only put on the first coat and left it for a few days, living with it through different times of the day, staring, contemplating, mmm it just didn’t feel right, it made me realized this wasn’t the right colour, so we carried on and with a bit of perseverance we finally got the colour, texture and movement right 🙌🏻

So now phew.. We can tick that box off, we still have a bit more to apply, especially around the arch and back wall, then we can sand it all and apply the final sealer.

So Now, the next question is to see if we travertine crazy pave the floors or travertine bricklay it.

I’m literally so torn now with which way we should go, with the floor now, I’m loving all your votes over in stories, it finished up at 60% saying they would crazy pave it, I can’t wait to share a little more of which way we will go, then we can add the tapware and finally wrap up this project 🤎

My latest little addition - I just knew she had to come home with me, and I took advantage of the Adairs linen lovers sale atm..

Thought I’d share a little story & few captures of how I love collected artisanal hand made pieces, that simply have that organic feel and look, this gorgeous vase is made out of cotton mache, using off cuts from the fashion and garment industry Wow!

It totally represents who and what I stand for, what a story I totally grabbed her off that shelf and popped her right where she belongs here at home 🤎🤍

I hope there are a few of these vases left Adairs for all you neutral lovers out there, she is beautifullll!!

A different angle and view - Neutral coastal Living space.

Textured, moody and warm, is what I’ve always wanted for this space.

Some may say “boring” I say its perfectly “calming” for the way we want to live!

Ahh how different times of the day play a big part in lighting, this space is prodominately light filled, when the the sun comes through that window it creates a warm sunny glow throughout the day however, in the late afternoons on cloudy days we get the most filtered moody vibe in the space, the perfect space to unwind and enjoy a cuppa or a drink after a long day..

This space used to be our son’s bedroom, I always knew before our Reno what this room’s purpose had to be, we lived in this home for years, before starting our Reno and that really gave me an insight, of what I needed it to become, don’t rush the process stay still for a while, before you decide to renovate it if you can, it makes all the difference when it comes to designing your dream spaces and home..
