Ohio Nurse Apologizes After Posting Inappropriate Catheter Video About a Gen Z Patient
A healthcare worker from Ohio is facing intense backlash after posting a TikTok video that many viewers deemed inappropriate and unprofessional. In the video, the nurse, identified as Collins Ekeawah, is seen preparing a catheter while playing Gunna’s “WGFT” and references performing the procedure on a Gen Z patient.
The content immediately sparked outrage online, as it was seen by healthcare professionals and the public as a breach of patient dignity and professional standards. Many pointed out that Gen Z includes individuals as young as 14, which made the video even more concerning.
Following the widespread criticism, Ekeawah issued an apology in a follow-up video, stating that he takes full accountability and that the original clip had been taken out of context.
The incident has prompted reports to the Ohio Board of Nursing, which oversees licensing and professional conduct.
