A little “you’re in luck” moment 🤍

My client spotted another set of Queen Anne bedsides I had for sale and asked about having a pair painted for her daughter’s bedroom. As luck would have it, I had these waiting in the shed for their turn!

We added some delicate trim to frame the drawers and finished them in Natural White, with little antique-style k***s to bring it all together.

Such a sweet, timeless pair, ready for their new home 🤍

A little Pottery Barn inspiration brought to life 🤎

My client found me through an older Marketplace listing and had been dying to get her hands on a pair of these extra-large bedsides with those gorgeous recessed drawer fronts.

While I was working on the colour and finish, she sent me a photo of a Pottery Barn piece she loved, and that became the inspiration for this pair.

Soft, muted timber tones, beautiful drawer details and antique brass k***s - it all came together so beautifully. I think they’ve turned out stunning, and I can’t wait for her to see them in person! ✨

The next two pieces in this bedroom makeover 🤎

My client brought in a matching set for her daughter’s room, and these drawers and bedside have now had the same faux walnut grain finish as the desk I recently shared.

The grain was created with paint and my graining tool, then finished with walnut stain to bring all those tones together. Paired with antique brass k***s, they’re ready for their next chapter ✨

This technique is also such a good way to tie different pieces of furniture together - even if they started out with completely different timbers or finishes, you can make them look like they’ve always belonged together.

A little experimenting and a lot of trusting the process 🤎
