Swipe right to see the flowers I bought this morning from the local market. Four bunches for AUS$60 (about £32)! The blossom I bought two weeks ago has died and dropped off but the green leaf shoots are delightful. BTW it is going to be a scorcher today (30c), just one random hot day and then the temps revert to seasonal ones thankfully. Golly I miss my London sitting room. I still own the apartment but I sold most of the furniture (I left a few pieces for tenants) and a lot of the decorative items before I moved to Sydney. In hindsight I wish I had kept a lot of the decorative items but what a nightmare it would have been having to pack them every time I moved here in Sydney - five times in five years!!

For the love of old kanthas ………. even if they are showing signs of age. 🥰 This one on the table is a favourite of mine. This is the reverse; the other side is even more beautiful. I have two old kanthas on the sofa (the one you can see on the back of the sofa was last year’s purchase in London) and two on the bed. When I’m back home in London in October for a month I’ll buy another kantha or maybe two 😛. I’m only interested in the old ones as the colours are more muted and the stitching more smaller. I usually buy them from my favourite store THE CLOTH SHOP Are you a fan of old kanthas?
