We are proud to share that our Randwick project has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Renovation/Addition Project category for the 2026 HIA Australian GreenSmart Awards.

This project was never about doing the obvious thing. Rather than demolish and rebuild, we retained the original brick structure and built around it with precision - reducing waste, preserving embodied carbon, and proving that high-performance outcomes do not require starting from scratch.Being recognised for this work means a great deal to our team.

It reinforces why we believe that the most intelligent builds are often the ones that ask the most of the people doing them.

The brief at Randwick was not simply to renovate.

It was to rethink what a family home could perform like.

Rather than demolish and rebuild, the TASS team retained the original ground floor brick structure - reducing waste, preserving embodied carbon, and working with the constraints of the existing building rather than against them. Every stage of the build was informed by Passive House principles: airtightness, thermal continuity, and the elimination of thermal bridging. The result is a home that significantly outperforms a standard 8-Star dwelling - not by accident, but by the precision of every decision made during construction.
