What happens when a chandelier ISN'T on the ceiling?

Gabriel Chiave of .cc reimagines the Zénith chandelier as a nomadic object, giving one of Baccarat’s most recognisable designs an entirely new life.

Rooted in Baccarat’s history but designed for movement, the Zénith becomes something more than a chandelier. It becomes a sculptural presence that can follow you, change with its surroundings and transform the way light inhabits a space.

Would you dare take a chandelier for a stroll?

What if a mistake became a masterpiece?

In 2014, Marcel Wanders accidentally placed the New Antique Vase upside down. Instead of fixing it, he saw a new possibility. That moment became the New Antique collection.

For Baccarat’s 260th anniversary, the story continues through crystal, light and unexpected forms.

Sometimes, seeing things differently is where the magic begins.

A complete design revolution.

When Baccarat collaborated with the designer known simply as Mathias, he didn’t just respect their heritage—he engineered its future.
Inspired by his childhood in the Middle East, Mathias created the iconic Mille Nuits (Thousand Nights) collection. But his real genius wasn't just aesthetic; it was technical.
He developed Baccarat’s very first low-voltage crystal chandelier, radically altering how the light refracted through the glass to mimic flickering palace torches.
He also threw out the rigid rules of traditional luxury by introducing modularity. He designed crystal vases and decor as puzzle pieces, allowing collectors to build their own continuous waves of light.
He seamlessly bridged the gap between traditional baroque opulence and modern engineering.
The lesson for heritage brands today?
You do not have to abandon your legacy to innovate. Sometimes, embracing a multidisciplinary creative is exactly what you need to see your heritage in a completely new light.

Architect Steve Leung has spent his career challenging the notion that luxury in Asian interior design must mimic Western classical styles. His latest project highlights this evolution by merging his contemporary vision with French craftsmanship.

Steve Leung Design Group collaborated with Baccarat to create the Printemps Bleu Zénith Chandelier. This piece commemorates 60 years of Sino-French diplomatic relations, blending Baccarat crystal with traditional Chinese porcelain. By incorporating hand-painted cobalt blue motifs onto porcelain lampshades, the design balances French luxury heritage with Eastern aesthetics.

This limited-edition piece demonstrates his methodology of restraint and context, showing how heritage crafts can coexist in modern spaces.

Marcel Wanders sits at the intersection of history and modern fantasy.

He reimagined classic shapes through the dance between light and pure crystal. From glowing cordless lamp to vases with marble, each piece bends, refracts and captures light to turn simple geometry into what we will be proud to call in 100 years.

The 100 Points collection is the result of a collaboration between the French crystal house Lalique and wine critic James Suckling. The partnership sought to bridge the gap between Lalique's history of decorative art and the technical requirements of professional wine tasting.

The collection includes a range of stemware and barware, beginning with the Universal Glass. Each piece features a signature frosted rib stem, a technique popularized by René Lalique, which provides a tactile contrast to the clear crystal bowl. These glasses are handcrafted in Alsace, France, and are designed to be substantial, prioritizing a weighted, sculptural feel that distinguishes them from more common, lightweight tasting vessels.

Fang Lijun took that exact feeling—a mix of boredom, exhaustion, and quiet rebellion—and turned it into a symbol for a generation.

Now, in an incredible clash of cultures, the raw grit of Chinese Cynical Realism meets the flawless heritage of French luxury. Lalique has collaborated with Fang Lijun to transform his iconic "Yawning Man" into a stunning crystal sculpture.

Using the ancient lost-wax technique, Lalique’s master artisans have captured this moment of intense introspection in heavy, luminous crystal.

It’s more than just a beautiful object. It’s a statement about individuality, a subtle defiance against conformity, and a reminder that sometimes, it's okay to just… yawn.

Available exclusively in Australia through FormFluent, this is a rare opportunity for collectors and interior designers to acquire a piece of art history reimagined.

When heritage French crystal meets the quiet restraint of Eastern philosophy.

Designed by Steve Leung Design Group , the Printemps Bleu Zénith Chandelier reimagines a century-old icon. For the first time, translucent crystal converges with delicate, hand-painted Limoges porcelain, hiding its intricate cobalt blue motifs on the interior so they reveal themselves only when the light catches.

A quiet study in Yin and Yang. Limited to 60 pieces worldwide.
