My neice, Chloe and I had the immense pleasure of meeting the beautiful Betty at Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre sanctuary recently. You can hear her grinding her beak gently, which is considered a sign of relaxation and contentment, like purring. It's no wonder Betty feels so chilled, living at Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Sanctuary, where such amazing work is done to protect these amazing birds and educate people about them. Chloe later adopted Betty, and you can too via Kaarakin's page.

It was such a treat to visit Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre sanctuary and learn about the incredible work they do to protect our precious and beautiful black cockatoos. Highly recommend booking an educational tour if you're visiting WA so you can learn about and support such important conservation work. I also adopted Opal, who was previously in the care of my beautiful mate, Angela Angela Robertson-Buchanan before making the move to WA.
