CARDS of the day - here is another fact you may not know, I used to make personalised stationery. Wedding invitations, birth announcements, personalised stationery and greeting cards. At one stage I supplied up to 70 retail stores with my sewn cards. Sewn details were the Paper Couture signature, all on cotton paper and using cotton thread to sew with.

Once I started creating my larger 3D props the stationery side kind of stopped. I am loving that I can now pick and choose what I make from my most loved paper.

CARDS OF THE DAY !

Did you know that my name Paper Couture came from my love of fashion and paper ! As a young girl I desperately wanted to become a fashion designer, gifted a holly hobby sewing machine I would sew paper loving how it reacted to the perforation from the machine. I moved to the Blue Mountains in 2023 and now I'm working in a store in Wentworth Falls / Marvellous Ms Merx - I am back making my sewn cards in small batches which you can get here in store.

Continuing my quick trip to Melbourne - anyone who knows me knows that I love immersive artworks in particular Rone
I have been to most of these extraordinary events since I first experienced EMPIRE.
HOME was again that emotive experience, growing up in Melbourne in 60s and 70s visiting great aunts and uncles, grandparents - this could have been their home. Recently I have been having conversations with similar aged friends about the phone table in the hallway, the arguments caused from having one landline shared by the whole family ! Dad complaining about the cost each month of that phone bill !!! You could go on for hours of the memories HOME evoked yesterday for me and my sister Nicki Delves (Nicki Westle). The most incredible thing when you stood out in the garden as the temperature dropped and the smell of the dry autumn leaves was evident - you were actually inside a huge shopping complex ! The magic of installation 🙌🏻👌👏🏻

If I have been quiet on socials of late it is because I have been working on this beautiful brand activation for LOEWE Westfield Sydney.

To celebrate Paula's Ibiza Collection launched mid April this year featuring the designs of Jonathan Anderson - the artichoke like to tomato previously is the hero in this years collection. It was such an honour to once again be asked to respond creatively to a clients needs creating these artichokes from paper.

It was lovely meeting the customers over the weekend who watched as I demonstrated or participated making one with my guidance.

School holidays - so good to see families travelling up here to the Blue Mountains. The weather has been faultless this week - clean sweet air, sunny cloudless sky's, perfect for walking.
