ORANGE CHILDCARE | MOAA
A new contemporary early learning centre in Orange, NSW, designed for 76 children across two levels. The design creates a bright, welcoming environment where learning, play and connection with nature come together. Clean geometric forms are balanced with a playful architectural identity, combining white brickwork, dark metal cladding, extensive glazing and bold yellow accents. Carefully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, sheltered play areas and generous landscaping create a strong connection between the building and its surroundings.

From concept design through to Construction Certificate, MOAA led the architectural vision and technical development of the project.

Ci sono amicizie che nascono dall’altra parte del mondo e che il tempo non riesce a scalfire. 🇦🇺🇮🇹

20 anni fa l’Australia ci ha fatto incontrare, in un periodo della vita fatto di sogni, nuove esperienze e tanta voglia di scoprire il mondo.

Poi la vita ci ha portato su strade diverse, con migliaia di chilometri a separarci.

Ma certe amicizie non si misurano con la distanza. Quando ci si ritrova, sembra che il tempo non sia mai passato: le stesse risate, la stessa complicità, la stessa sensazione di sentirsi a casa.

SAPPHIRE AT EDEN 🌊
Architecture shaped by landscape, light and the ocean. Proud to share Sapphire at Eden, a coastal hotel and residential development in Eden, NSW.
Set on a prominent ridge-top site overlooking the ocean, bay and hinterland, the project explores the relationship between architecture, landscape and the unique character of its coastal setting. The architectural approach is defined by soft, flowing forms, carefully considered massing and a warm material palette of stone, timber, weatherboards and extensive glazing.

The buildings are carefully positioned to respond to the landscape, frame views and create a strong connection between the built environment and its natural surroundings. Landscape, pools, wellness spaces and communal areas contribute to a relaxed resort atmosphere, while elements of the design draw inspiration from the area's maritime and industrial heritage.

I was involved as Design Leader, contributing to the architectural design from concept through to planning approval, helping establish and develop the overall design vision and coordinate the wider design process.

A project that explores how architecture, landscape and place can come together to create a distinctive coastal experience.

The Yacht House | Sydney
Designed as a house. Inspired by a yacht. Shaped by the ocean. The Yacht House explores a simple architectural idea: bring the experience of the water into the home. A strong cantilevered concrete roof frames the horizon.
Deep marine-blue cladding references the hull of a yacht. A glass-bottom infinity pool turns water into architecture. A sculptural reflecting pool extends the landscape beneath the house. Clean lines. Strong geometry. Water, light and landscape working together. Not a house that simply looks towards the ocean. A house designed around it.

BOARDING HOUSE LIVING — GUILDFORD
A DA-approved 18-room boarding house in Guildford, NSW, designed to provide a more considered and residential alternative to traditional boarding house accommodation. The project responds to the requirements of a Class 3 boarding house, while establishing a strong architectural identity inspired by the character, comfort and spatial qualities of contemporary residential design. Private rooms, communal spaces and shared amenities are carefully integrated within a cohesive architectural language, with a focus on functionality, natural light, privacy and resident experience.

MOAA developed the architectural vision from concept design through to DA approval, coordinating the design development with the project team and consultants.

Contemporary Residential | South East Sydney
Three homes. One corner. Designed as one.

A contemporary response to a complex site, bringing together a duplex and integrated granny flat with three independent homes. Strong cantilevered forms meet a softer curved wall, creating a distinctive street presence. Textured white brick is paired with chocolate-toned vertical timber cladding, framed by crisp white edges for contrast and rhythm. Generous glazing creates a seamless transition between interior and exterior, connecting the living spaces with natural light, greenery and landscape. Lush planting softens the architecture, adding privacy and strengthening the connection to the street. Every element was considered to make the most of the site while keeping each home private, connected and comfortable.

Contemporary Residential | South East Sydney
Three homes. One corner site. One strong architectural response.

At MOAA Architecture & Interior Design, we see challenging sites as opportunities to create something distinctive. This project transforms a corner site into a contemporary duplex with an integrated granny flat, giving each of the three homes its own identity, independent access and sense of arrival.

The architecture plays with form, contrast and materiality. Bold cantilevered volumes create depth and shade, while a curved ground floor wall softens the corner and creates a more welcoming connection with the street. Textured white brick anchors the lower level, contrasted by chocolate toned vertical timber cladding across the upper volumes and garage. Strong white framing sharpens the geometry and gives the façade its distinctive character. Large areas of glazing bring natural light into the living spaces and connect them with the landscape, while lush planting softens the architecture and provides privacy.

Every decision was about making the most of the site without compromising the quality of living. Three homes. Natural light. Privacy. Strong materiality. A clear connection to landscape.

For us, good architecture is about making every part of a place work together.

The Yacht House | Sydney
Every coastline tells a story....Some homes simply face the ocean.....Others are shaped by it.

The Yacht House is a residential concept born from a shared vision, exploring the relationship between coastal living, marine-inspired design, and architectural innovation.

Inspired by the elegance of a superyacht, the precision of marine engineering, and the raw beauty of Australia’s coastline, the design seeks to create a seamless connection between architecture, water, and landscape.

A sculptural concrete cantilever roof reaches towards the horizon, framing uninterrupted ocean views. A glass-bottom infinity pool transforms sunlight into reflections, bringing the movement of water onto the outdoor living terrace, a yacht-inspired deck creating a seamless threshold between the living area and the ocean.

Deep marine-blue aluminium cladding draws inspiration from the hull of a yacht, creating a distinctive coastal identity through a refined and durable material palette.
At ground level, a sculptural water feature becomes part of the landscape, reinforcing the sense of a home floating effortlessly within its surroundings.
