These are honestly some of the most important questions to ask before booking a live illustrator for your wedding. 🤍
And here’s how I personally handle them at Navia Mae Studio....
1. Will all my guests get painted?
For every booking, I’ll always be transparent about how many guests we can realistically paint live based on your guest count, hours, and number of artists.
If your goal is to have everyone painted, I can recommend the right package or number of artists for your wedding.
For some packages, we also offer studio completion, which means guests we don’t get to finish during the event can still have their artwork completed afterwards.
2. Will the illustrations actually look like them?
Our style is meant to be flattering, elegant, and recognisable while still keeping that soft, fashion-illustration look that Navia Mae Studio is known for.
We focus on the details that make each guest feel like themselves—their outfit, hair, accessories, colours, and overall look. 🎨
3. Will my guests understand how it works?
Yes! We make the experience as easy as possible.
Depending on the setup, we take reference photos of your guests and explain the process to them, so they don’t have to stand around posing the whole time.
And no, your guests do not have to pay. 😂
Everything is already arranged by the couple or event host.
4. What happens if there isn’t enough time?
Weddings move fast, so we always have a cut-off time before the event ends to make sure we can organise the remaining portraits properly.
If your package includes studio completion, any guests we weren’t able to finish live can still be completed afterwards and sent back to you.
So no one gets forgotten. 🤍
5. Is it really worth the investment?
For me, live illustration is more than just a wedding favour.
Your guests get to watch the artwork being created, interact with the artists, take photos, come back to check their portrait, and leave with something completely personal to them.
It becomes part of the entertainment and their keepsake.
And hopefully, it’s one of those little things from your wedding that they keep for years. 🥹🎨
