The Telbix Bernay. A simple brief, done well.

Slim wall plate. Spherical diffuser. Integrated 10W LED at 3000K warm white. IP65 rated. 950 lumens. 3-year warranty. Available in Corten Sand or Matte Black.

The corten finish is the interesting one - it's the kind of warm, earthy tone that works really well on rendered or natural stone facades, especially if you're going for that contemporary Australian look. The black is cleaner and suits just about anything.

Both are $125 (was $139).

Two new Telbix exterior wall light ranges have just landed at Alstra Lighting - the Bernay and the Engar.

Both are IP65 rated, built for outdoor use, and priced in a range that doesn't hurt. If you've got a new build, a renovation, or just a front entrance that could do with a better light, these are worth a look.

The Bernay is a soft spherical diffuser on a slim wall plate - clean and understated. The Engar is a gypsum wall light with a more angular, architectural profile that throws light downward in a focused wash. Very different looks, both solid options.

Come in and see them at our Thornton showroom or browse the range at alstra.lighting

A round LED mirror works in almost any bathroom - above a single vanity, as part of a pair over a double, or as a feature piece in a smaller ensuite. The Thermogroup Flynn comes in two sizes: 600mm (good for smaller vanities or pairing two above a double) and 800mm (the one for a large single vanity or a statement wall).

Both have the same frosted edge LED lighting, built-in demister, and 2-year warranty.

600mm: Was $599, now $479.20
800mm: Was $729, now $583.20

If your bathroom has a single downlight in the ceiling and nothing else, you're probably not getting the most out of it - especially at the mirror.

A downlight directly overhead lights the top of your head, not your face. It's why so many bathrooms feel harsh and clinical even when they've got a decent fixture in the middle of the ceiling.

New article on the Alstra Lighting blog walks through what proper bathroom lighting actually looks like, and how to set it up in layers without an electrician redesigning the whole room. Worth a read if you're planning any work this spring. Link in comments.

The pill shape is having a moment in bathroom design right now, and the Thermogroup Cooper is a solid way to get it without spending a fortune.

500x1000mm. Edge LED lighting. Built-in demister. Front-mounted on/off switch. Simple key-slot mounting that even your sparky will appreciate.

Was $649. Now $519.20 as part of our clearance sale - 20% off while stock lasts.

25/10/2026

Reminder - the 10% off deal on the Fanco Infinity-iD and Eco Style ceiling fans is still running, but there's only 19 days left on it.

If you've had either of these on your list since we introduced them a couple of weeks back, this is the window to move on it. Both are DC motor fans built for Australian summers - quiet, efficient, and available in a range of sizes and configurations.

Come in to the Thornton showroom to see them in person, or shop the range at alstra.lighting

The Thermogroup Leo. 500x900mm, arch shape, edge LED lighting that wraps around the front and sides of the mirror.

This is the one that makes a bathroom feel intentionally designed rather than just functional. The frosted LED strip gives you bright, even light right where you need it, and the built-in demister means you're not waiting for the steam to clear every morning.

Was $709. Now $567.20. Clearance - limited stock remaining.

Four Thermogroup LED mirrors are now on clearance at Alstra Lighting - 20% off across the range, and once this stock is gone these models won't be coming back.

Spring is the time people start moving on the bathroom projects they've been putting off, and an LED mirror is one of the upgrades that makes the biggest visual difference for the money. All four are edge-lit with a frosted LED strip, built-in demister to keep the glass fog-free, and come with a 2-year warranty.

Available in arch, pill, and round shapes - 500x900mm, 500x1000mm, 600mm round, and 800mm round.

We get it - most people think of us as a lighting and fans store. And that's a fair assumption. But when you're doing a bathroom, we can actually help with a lot more of the list than most people realise.

At Alstra Lighting we sell:
- Bathroom lighting (vanity, wall, IP-rated downlights, shaving cabinets)
- Exhaust fans (basic, with light, with heat, or all three)
- Bathroom heating (panel heaters, radiant heat lamps, combo units)
- Heated towel rails (chrome, gunmetal, matte black - electric and hydronic)
- Underfloor heating
- LED mirrors like these Thermogroup models
- Some bathroom furniture too

If you're planning a reno or even just sorting one room at a time, it's worth having a look at what we carry. Everything ships, or come in and see us in Thornton.

Did you know your ceiling fan can be part of your smart home - without a costly upgrade?

If you've already got a DC ceiling fan, adding smart control is easier and more affordable than most people realise. Our new blog post walks through exactly what smart fan control looks like, why DC motors make it possible, and how to set it up without replacing your whole ceiling fan.

We've also covered how to use a smart fan to cut your energy bills this summer - including the one reverse-direction trick most people don't know about.

Worth a read before the heat arrives. New post up now on the Alstra Lighting blog - link in comments.
