This pen is thicker than normal (16mm) and would suit a person with larger hands. I've called it Imperial Dawn as it evokes the regal, rich tones of purple and the vibrant energy of yellow, suggesting a pen that combines elegance with a touch of brightness. It is fitted with a Jowo #6 F nib (other widths available) and Schmidt K5 converter. The triple start cap threads are M14 and the pinch on the section is 12 mm.

This conkerberry (Carissa Lanceolata) frountain pen is fully ebonite lined and features an orange resin cap with a conkerberry finial. This wood is rare and difficult to harvest as it comes from a multi stemmed shrub with long sharp thorns. It only grows to a maximum of about 4 metres. The pen is fitted with a Bock #5 M two tone guilded nib.  Most other nib sizes available. Available from our website decourceypens.com

Surprise when we cut a small log open yesterday and found this 😳 it’s called Emu Apple or Owenia Acidula. The common name comes from the habit of Emu’s eating the fruit.

Opalton is a small opal mining town in western Queensland and this pen reminds me of the beautiful opals found there. M13 cap to body with matching section this is a lovely pen.
