Piece of red cedar I have had sitting around for a few years…finally time to bring it back to life.
This piece had a huge hole in one end so decided to pour a Pearl colour that complimented the cedar.
This was a mix of a few different pastes to create a semi tangerine Pearl.
It has had one coat of clear,second due tomorrow after a sand.
I’m thinking a coat rack or key rack…not sure yet.
Any ideas??

Hi all dan from RUSTIC ROOTS DESIGNS AU.
As you have probably noticed I have Been a bit distant.
I have had to get back to reality and start working full time again,which I love haha.
I learnt a lot in a few years with my timber and epoxy and will continue to try and deliver some quality tops and content but will be a bit few and far between as work and being a single dad definitely take most of my time.

Camphor slab for a mate getting the A grade treatment,this slab holds a sentimental value.
It was 40mm cupped overall in both directions.
Been sitting for years all twisted and dry.
I couldn’t actually level this slab so had to build the bed up 40mm in some places with good quality clear to actually have a useable surface for drinks etc.
Very happy with the last flood coat of glass to bring this slab back to life.

Top finished in glass coat epoxy and base finished in black Japan and a matte clear to crate a beautiful contrast.
