Wow - another year has dissolved just like that! (clicks fingers)
But such a great year it has been, filled with wonderful projects to sink my teeth into - alongside even better clients! What more can a designer ask for 😄

Thanks to all who place their trust in me to bring their visions and dreams to life - and boy, there have been some visions this year 😆

I really look forward to introducing and sharing these projects with you in the new year... I know I should have kept up with posting this year, but there are only so many hours in a day - and my keyboard has been running hot! 🔥

So it's time for me to peel my eyes off the computer screens, enjoy some relaxation by the pool and recharge my batteries.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season surrounded by those you love.

Amanda Shier Design will back on the 20th January 2025.

Happy holidays!! 🍹

The dramatic timber arbor creates a strong link between the new conservatory and existing home. This will be further featured with the use of integrated strip lighting within the timber posts for that real wow factor.

A new design for a "Modern Australian Conservatory" in the Adelaide Hills.

The clients came to me with a brief to turn their exposed alfresco area into an entertaining space suitable for the intense weather they experience being located on top of a hill. Originally considering a pergola style structure, I instead presented them with a concept for a space that could be enjoyed all year round.

Large, stacking doors to connect with their vast views during fine weather, or snuggled up by the stone clad combustion heater on the corner window seat with a glass of red when the rain comes hammering through.

Flexibility was the key to this design - and referencing the architectural details of the existing home for connection and cohesion.

A new entrance design for this residential concept situated on the coast of South Australia. A sprawling, blue stone centenarian given a respectful boost of life with a modern barn extension for this new family home.
