Hi Everyone,

Well, it’s been some time since I last posted anything here. My apologies.

We have had a series of health related issues and it’s taken a lot of time to sort it all out. Some are ongoing while others have been rectified.

Having said that, I am sure it won’t come as a surprise to any of you - but I am closing Sunshine Studio.

Thank you to all of you who came to the workshops, supported me through it all and helped make the studio the magical place it was. Still is…but I find it easier to just stitch quietly and Henry likes it that way too.

So, I wish each of you life’s very best.
Thanks again for your support…it was a great deal of fun for a long time.
You’re welcome to come visit me - send me a message and we can arrange a date.

Well, at least I am consistent...consistently late that is!!!
I'd love to be able to blame in on my Tech Support...aka Rob...but I can't.
I am blaming it on having to use jPegs instead of Pdfs.
Yup, that's right!!! You read it here first.
Okay, I have zero idea what either are - but what it does mean is that I cannot just create my monthly calendar by myself and simply post it.
I have to organise (ask Rob) Tech Support to Jpeg and then PDF it.
Sigh....

So here is AUGUST'S boring calendar...
I am hoping that September's is on time and has some more workshops.

Well HELLO EVERYONE!!!

After floods and some really crazy weather
we are happy to be back into the swing of things here at the Studio.

I am going to have a quiet Winter here...so no new classes or big workshops until Sept. I have needed some time to myself and have been enjoying being with Rob and Henry most days.

The Sunshiner's are a local community group. It is every Friday morning from 10am til 12pm.

Open Studio is held the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from
1pm to 4pm. Bring something to work on and enjoy the company of some really lovely gals.

Slow Stitch is a group of gals who enjoy this textile art form. I find it to be so relaxing and you can be as creative as you want.

So, if any of this appeals to you, please contact me via Messenger and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can.

Better late than never...lol!

Belated April Fool's and lets celebrate what would have been my Mum's 101st bday today. She would love (not) me mentioning it...lol.

So a few changes here at Sunshine Studio.
The first being that there are no longer classes being held on Monday or Wednesday afternoons.

I made this decision because both Rob and I have had some medical issues and we would like to have more free time together. We also prefer travelling during the week...it's a bit quieter and cheaper. So we hope to have some Mon to Thurs adventures with Henry in tow.

The calendar is much less eventful but the Open Studio, Slow Stitch, and Needle Felting classes are all open for more of you to come and join in.

A huge thank you to the girls who have understood my predicament and have graciously accepted the changes.

Happy MARCH Everyone!

The only change to this months calendar is that Needle Felting with Dr.J aka Justine - is cancelled. J is away in Canberra that weekend...but she will be back next month. We are planning to work on another Fairy. There are SO many options available to us in creating these beauties...one can never have too many. I have created a few over the years and find they make great gifts.

Monday Sewing Open Studio is just that. Bring something to stitch and enjoy the afternoon.

Weds Open Studio is...open - to all forms of art. We currently have a slowstitcher, a couple of watercolorist's, as well as a fiber art mixed media artist.

The 1st and 3rd Saturday afternoons are OPEN Studio as well.
there are a variety of artistan's who come join Henry and myself.

Last but not least...the 4th Saturday of every month is for SLOW STITCHING. It is not a teaching class...it is a gathering of like minded textile artists who enjoy the mindfulness of the slow stitch movement.

So there we have it kids!

Please join Henry and I as we create, inspire and dream.

Happy February!!!

Well, January zipped by...and here we are about to start celebrating love and stuff...lol!

Please feel free to join in on an Open Studio...there is always good conversations flowing, creative minds thinking alike and Henry LaRue awaiting a snack or twelve...sigh.

Needle Felting starts this month...with Dr. J aka Justine...coming to the studio to teach us something fun. Everyone is welcome and it is a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Well, what a year it has been. So many ups n downs. I know so many of you who had some huge losses...and your hearts were broken. The old adage that "time heals all wounds" is true...but it hurts all the same. Please know that I am here for each and every one of you...in whatever capacity you might need. I extend this to you in love and in friendship.

Henry, Rob and I had a wee road trip to the Southern Highlands for 6 days. I attended one amazing 3 day workshop at The Green Door Studio...with the unbelievably talented ROXY sisters...Rachel, Sarah, their beautiful mum JuJu, and so many more super talented Textile Artists. Corrine, from To Be Loved Treasures, Christina from Christina Creates, Kate, from Kate in the Nest, and Dawn from Dawn Meldrum. All these gals are on YouTube...do check them out.

On our return...I spent a day in Newcastle along with my gf, Helly...and we went to SEW.BE Curated...meeting the gorgeous and super talented, BEC. The Roxy Journal Of Stitchery girls had come up to visit Bec...and we all stitched together for a day.
I'm still in awe...as I met my 'stitching soul sisters' in both places.
Truly, it was so powerful to be surrounded by so many truly talented textile artists.

So, while the studio here isn't hosting as many workshops...I am introducing a Saturday SLOW STITCH Class for those who are involved in the Slow Stitch movement and want to share their thoughts, ideas, etc. This is NOT a teaching class. It is for those who are already involved in it.
Please bring your lunch and I will provide both morning and afternoon tea along with coffee etc.
I will have a bench of fabric bundles and embellishments available for purchase as well.

The rest of the classes are as they were in 2024.
So please come visit, meet some new friends, find some old ones, and enjoy the company of some wonderful people.

ROB ASKS THE NO ONE PARK ON THE LAWNS ANYMORE AS THEY ARE WELL AND TRULY DEAD. PLEASE PARK ALONG THE DRIVEWAY ONLY.

HENRY...HE IS ANXIOUS FOR YOU ALL TO RETURN. ESPECIALLY A COUPLE OF HIS GF'S WHO GIVE HIM TREATS...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
