There’s no denying that a timber vanity brings a special touch of warmth to any bathroom, especially when it’s mixed recycled timber. This is 1 of 3 vanities made for this home in Avalon. With Reno’s being undertaken in stages, all 3 were made at the same time to keep the colouring consistent throughout all 3 rooms. Further photos to come as the next ones are installed.

Barn doors for the win! There’s just something about them… I’m not sure exactly what it is, it doesn’t seem to matter whether it’s a painted or natural timber finish, in an internal or external application. They just bring that homely warmth to any space with a subtle detail that makes the aesthetic pop. I always enjoy making them, and this pair, made for good friends Mike and Kat, was no exception.

Delivered and installed today at the Narara Eco village was this 3m long x 2.4m tall, Recycled Hardwood wardrobe. Safe to say this freestanding monster won’t be moving around on its own. With feature shelves, shoe storage, push to open drawers, hanging space and slated doors to soften the aesthetic weight and provide airflow. This was both a fun and challenging piece to create and compliments the wall unit I made for these clients a few years ago.
