All branded tissue and signature flower wrap under the counter in drawers either side. We can easily wrap two bouquets at once; which generally always happening with two girls on the station!!

It’s new, it’s cute, we like !

The things you find when moving house…

GAY FLOWERS

Mum decided she wanted a change from running hotels. My parents first hotel was the Campbell Town Inn 1976.

So Mum purchased Gay Flowers off the one and only Hobart iconic florist Gaye Hurd. Mum realised pretty quickly that hospitality ran through her veins and always has.
Mum retired from the Black Buffalo at the ripe old age of 74!!

Mum is still to this day a goer, never stops and is as fit as a fiddle ! Mum even returns each year the ‘Buff’ to run the Melbourne Cup luncheon every year. I can’t tell you her age; she might kill me 😘

So, here we are at Gay Flowers I would think 2003, I also owned True colors at the time and worked at both. Ava was a baby.

Tomorrow’s Trading.

I just wanted to let you know that we are delivering tomorrow & offering collections. Due to the enormity of the past week, we have decided to keep our door closed. It’s been hectic; everyone is tired, with cut fingers, sore feet and to begin quite broken (you have no idea how hard the botanical girls push and they keep going and going) plus we are all not as young as we once were…..

WE ARE CLOSING EARLY TIMORROW
AT 2:30om tomorrow.

We need time to get the shop back into some kind of shape ready for normal shop hours resuming Tuesday 12th.

We are receiving a big shipment of fresh blooms to@oore, so everything will be fresh as can be!

How lucky am I to have been brought up with such a role model.

I have learnt to be resilient, work extremely hard, to love unconditionally and most of all, how to be kind.

The only thing I failed to learn was how to be spotless; mum is an avid cleaner. She LOVES it.
Me; I leave a trail wherever I go.
