Brown is back!! After selling out of my browns I’ve restocked! Straight from the dyebath and line to the shop now ready and waiting for your needles and hooks!! I also have some combed tops in the dying and drying process as well! I’m excited to show some clever creations made by some of our customers, one a crocheted beanie, the other got crafty with her carder and added our 1st x Comeback combed tops with some roving she purchased elsewhere to create a unique batt ready to hand spin! And lastly a sneak peak of our cake and cupcake range! Ready to take home and use in various sizes. We will have the 100g cakes and various weights in cupcakes! I’m naming them cupcakes after a chat with a customer this morning and I mentioned that I was deciding whether to do mini cakes or mini skeins and how I’d do them. She suggested I do little cakes and call them cupcakes! I loved it so much that I’m going with it!! Thank you Jess for the suggestion!! There will be various colours and weights available soon😊

Weekend happenings! While I manned the new shop, packed the car and joined the Fibre Frolic Market Day fun. Michael and George did some tractor driving before the much needed overdue forecast rain. Michael was on one tractor in one paddock baling hay and carting it in. An indication of the type of season that we’re having. Usually our haymaking season has wrapped up by the end of March, sometimes early April. Not early May! George was on my old faithful ‘the old girl’ sowing some oats. He could have chosen a newer one with a working radio etc but loves the old girl!! Then just for good measure, as if we don’t have enough to do, although the sheep were all drenched early April before joining, the weaners needed another drench. After the rain in late March and green pick that came from it, this caused perfect conditions for worm burden. And the merino weaners are the most susceptible to these kinds of issues, our precious babies!!
