While making this stamp, I kept thinking about the “express thoughts” part.
I don’t know when reading became less about simply finishing a book and more about collecting little thoughts from it. Sometimes I’ll read a line and just… stop.
It might be the simplest sentence, but somehow it puts into words something I’ve been feeling without knowing how to say it. I’ll underline it, fold the corner, save the quote somewhere or tell myself I'll definitely remember this. (But I rarely do 😭)
And maybe that’s why I loved this little phrase so much. Read. Express your thoughts.
Not just "did you like this book?" but what did it make you feel? What did you disagree with? What stayed in your head after you closed the book?
Because two people can read the exact same book and walk away carrying completely different thoughts. And this tiny stamp's line gets to leave room for that
