While making this stamp, I kept thinking about the “express thoughts” part.

I don’t know when reading became less about simply finishing a book and more about collecting little thoughts from it. Sometimes I’ll read a line and just… stop.

It might be the simplest sentence, but somehow it puts into words something I’ve been feeling without knowing how to say it. I’ll underline it, fold the corner, save the quote somewhere or tell myself I'll definitely remember this. (But I rarely do 😭)

And maybe that’s why I loved this little phrase so much. Read. Express your thoughts.
Not just "did you like this book?" but what did it make you feel? What did you disagree with? What stayed in your head after you closed the book?
Because two people can read the exact same book and walk away carrying completely different thoughts. And this tiny stamp's line gets to leave room for that

My clients really do come up with amazing ideas!

A client wanted a tiny stamp for her man. Something playful, like the little stamps we’d give kids when they do something good.

Because apparently, her man is a baby too and she wants to stamp his hand as a tiny reward.
And since he’s a Spidey fan, she wanted something playful like the little stamps teachers give kids when they do something good.
So instead of the usual “Good job!”, we made it:
MY BEST MAN.

Honestly, I can already imagine her boyfriend doing the bare minimum and going,
“So… where’s my stamp?” :3
And she’ll probably just stamp his forehead at this point. I love when clients bring me these little pieces of their relationships and ask me to turn them into something real.

And the funniest part is while making hers, I remembered my nephew is also obsessed with Spiderman. So obviously, I had to make one for my own little best man too. (He’s the tiny Spidey fan in the last picture.)

Now couples,
Take notes. Your man might need a little positive reinforcement too.

বই কিনে কেউ দেউলিয়া হয় না!!

Whoever came up with this propaganda knew exactly what they were doing because… I fall for it every single time. Every time I say, “এই মাসে আর বই কিনব না,” somehow another book finds its way into my hands.

And honestly, I’ve stopped trying to explain it.
Because book buying and book reading are two completely different hobbies.

Please don’t ask me why I bought three books when I still have hundreds waiting on my shelf.

Sometimes I buy a book because I’ve been wanting it forever. Sometimes because I found myself in a bookstore. Sometimes because the cover is pretty. And sometimes… I have absolutely no explanation.

But I think that’s what being a book lover is. It’s not always about how many books you’ve finished. Sometimes it’s about the excitement of bringing a new one home, running your fingers over the cover, putting it on your shelf and thinking

And today, on World Book Lovers Day, I wanted to celebrate exactly that feeling.

The readers.
The collectors.
The people with overflowing TBRs.
The ones who buy books faster than they can read them. The ones who dogear pages, underline sentences, lend books and never get them back, or keep every book they’ve ever loved like a little piece of themselves.

And maybe this day feels a little extra special to me because August is my birthday month — and five years ago, the very first idea of স্ট্যাম্পস ইউ নিড came to life.

Five years ago, I had no idea where this little idea would take me. I just knew I loved books, loved pretty little things, and wanted to create something around them.

And somehow, five years later, here we are 🤎

So today, I’m raising a book to all of us, and our very questionable spending habits
Happy World Book Lovers Day, fellow book lovers. ♡

I think one of the hardest lessons life has always been trying to teach me is this...

Not everyone in our lives is meant to stay. Friends change. Relationships end. People slowly become strangers.

For a long time, that thought made me sad. But every time my heart struggled with it, one thought was enough to bring me solace. That the coziest relationship I'll ever build isn't with someone else. It's with myself.

I've always loved quiet evenings, romanticized slow mornings, and found comfort in bookmarked pages and stories that seemed to understand me before anyone else did.

Maybe that's why this little Bookstamp girl feels so personal to me.

She's in her own lane.
Not waiting for life to happen.
Not waiting for someone else to make her happy.

She's simply there. Reading. Spend time with herself.

If you're struggling and don't know where you're standing, I hope you're learning to enjoy your own company atleast. you're not alone.

I hope, wish, and pray that one day you'll genuinely enjoy being with yourself. That you'll have something, whether it's books, art, music, or another quiet joy, that always feels like coming home.

And if you ever need a gentle reminder that your own company can become your favorite place to be...

Come back and read this again 🤎

One thing that has slowly become a fear while running this small business is when someone sends me a picture and asks, "Can you pack mine exactly like this?"

Every time, I wish I could say yes. But the truth is, I can't.

Not because I don't want to but every order I pack depends on the little things I manage to save along the way.

If you read Bangla books, you probably know Bangla Bazar Books recently celebrated their 6th anniversary. They arranged a huge sale and introduced cutesy wrapping paper. My book mail also arrived wrapped in that paper, and instead of throwing it away, I knew I have to use it as stickers while packing your orders.

That's the little philosophy behind stampsyouneed. I don't buy lots of different packaging materials or create extra waste just to recreate a specific aesthetic. I love giving beautiful things a second life whenever I can.

So every package ends up looking a little different.

This carousel is a small peek into how your orders are packed. Every parcel is packed by hand, using whatever little treasures I've collected over time.

So if your order doesn't look exactly like someone else's, I hope you know why.

It won't be identical. But it'll always be packed with the same amount of care 🪄

When I was working on this stamp, the client suggested the line, "এখনো মানুষ বই সংগ্রহ করে."

For some reason, my overthinking mind couldn't let it go. Isn't that normal? Or... is it not anymore?

Collecting books has become such a quiet part of my existence that I never questioned it. Sometimes I wonder... who would I be if there wasn't a stack of books in one corner of my room, slowly growing taller than me?

I don't think we collect books because we have to anymore. We could read pirated PDFs. We could read on our phones. We could finish hundreds of stories without ever buying a single copy.

Yet somehow... we don't. Because for me stories were never only about the words.

They're about turning pages with sleepy hands. Curling up in your favorite reading corner. The scent of paper. The weight of a book on your lap. The soft sound of a page being turned. Looking up after a beautiful paragraph and simply... sitting with it, feeling reading with all our 5 senses I guess?

It's like how, even in a world full of screens and convenience, we still crave grass beneath our feet, the ocean breeze on our skin, and warm sunshine on our faces, even after putting on loads of sunscreen.

Some experiences were never meant to be replaced. Maybe that's why people still collect books. Not because we need to. But because somewhere between the ink, the paper, and the stories... we find ourselves or atleast I think we do.
