Text Series: 01
Segment Name: Understanding
May we come to truly understand this life—
That in the end, we each breathe on our own,
Our thoughts are born within us,
And we must one day lie with the body we were given.
What my eyes witness may never be what yours have seen.
What my ears endure may not echo what yours have heard.
Our experiences are isolated, shaped by the unique lens of our being.
Belief—
It’s a solitary act, born in silence.
And though we reach for others,
Hoping to be held, to be known,
That expectation often becomes a shallow pool
Where our reflections distort.
We are all, in truth, profoundly alone.
We stumble through this life,
Desperately trying to understand,
Yet constantly misunderstood.
In the end,
We leave this world just as we entered it—
Alone,
Carrying with us the weight of all we couldn’t explain.
