Magnificent cutlery set, Orly model, creation by Lino Sabattini for the Christofle workshop, with 124 pieces for twelve people. In the '50s, Gio Ponti launched Sabattini with a major solo exhibition in Milan. Sabattini became Christofle's creative director between 1956 and 1963 and produced a series of elegant objects with sober and pure lines. Almost all of them became legendary and can be found in the collections of the largest museums such as the MOMA or the Victoria and Albert Museum. Small detail, Sabattini can be described as a pioneer in the history of cutlery: his "Orly" fish knife is the first suitable for both right-handed and left-handed people!
