I keep coming back to motifs with a touch of mystery — old symbols, nature scenes that suggest more than they show. They pull you into the room, instead of letting you just pass through.

A poster hangs. A tapestry lives.

There's a reason we call it tapestry art and not "textile print." A true tapestry is woven — thread by thread, weft over warp — not printed onto fabric. That weave is what gives it depth: light catches the fibers differently depending on the angle, the surface has texture you can actually feel, and the piece shifts subtly as the light in the room changes throughout the day. A poster is flat. A tapestry has dimension, because it's built, not printed.

My favorite detail on this piece? The way the gold thread catches the light. It's the kind of detail you only notice up close.

A pond covered in duckweed, a few stray flowers at the edge, a duck gliding quietly through it all. Nothing special, you might say. Until you realize Claude Monet looked at exactly this kind of scene and turned it into something timeless. Same colors, same reflections, same stillness on the water. The difference between "just a park" and a masterpiece? Mostly, it's a matter of perspective.

Just like the three women by the lake in one of our most beloved tapestries — still, present, letting the moment sink in — we are taking a breath this July.
We will be a little quieter than usual throughout the month. No rush, no deadlines. Just stillness, inspiration, and the kind of pause that makes the work that follows even more meaningful.
We will be back in full swing in August, with fresh energy and new woven stories to share.

🔁 Throwback — toen we in de pers stonden

Soms is het goed om even terug te kijken op een moment dat trots maakte op wat we doen.

Dit artikel in Tapestry — Verweven Tradities en Innovatie vertelde het verhaal achter ons werk: de kruising tussen ambacht en technologie, tussen verleden en heden.

Wat we maken zijn geen gewone textielproducten. Het zijn geweven beelden — elk tapijt een vertaling van een foto naar draad, kleur en textuur. Een proces waarbij eeuwenoude weeftechnieken samenkomen met moderne beeldverwerking, en waarbij elk beeld een tweede leven krijgt — tastbaar, blijvend, uniek.

Onze wandtapijten reizen de wereld rond. Van privécollecties tot kantoorinterieurs, van galerijen tot hotellobby's. Elk stuk draagt een verhaal — het verhaal van de foto, het verhaal van de maker, en het verhaal van de plek waar het uiteindelijk thuishoort.

Wat begon als een passie voor verweven tradities, is uitgegroeid tot een exportverhaal met internationale weerklank.

Trots op dit moment. Trots op elk geweven beeld dat bij iemand aan de muur hangt. ✨

Sisterhood — The Woman.
Six women, seated on a fallen tree at the water's edge. The forest glows in autumn colours behind them. Their reflections shimmer in the lake below.
But what truly makes this tapestry magical is what happens in the dark — or when light falls on it. The pale tones come alive, almost luminous, as if the mist and water are glowing from within.
This is The Woman, the third piece of the Sisterhood Series — and she might just be the most atmospheric of them all.

Sometimes a detail says more than the whole. 🌿

This is a close-up of Sisterhood — The Girls. Two young girls, side by side, gazing out over the water. A small flowering plant between them, soft teal capes, the pale shimmer of the lake ahead.

Up close, you can see exactly what makes a woven tapestry so special — every thread, every subtle shift in colour, every tiny texture that brings the image to life. It is painting, but in fibre.

Still. Quiet. Together.
