A glimpse of what’s to come.

Over the last few days, we’ve been filming to mark 10 years of Grain Designoffice — capturing where we started and where we stand today.

What started as an idea between Sander Bullynck and Nick De Moor grew into a vision on space, atmosphere, and experience — one that continues to evolve with every step.

10 years of Grain — More to be revealed soon.

A special thank you to Done By Us Agency for shaping and capturing this story.

A new weekend, but last Saturday still lingers.
What was meant to be an opening became something else entirely.

To those who were there — thank you for making it what it was. Your presence, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful moments we shared made it a truly special and memorable occasion. Our new office reflects everything we stand for. What we create goes beyond spaces. It’s about how they’re felt, how they bring people together, and how they stay with you long after. This place carries that, in every detail.

We’ll share it, soon.
More to come.

ABOUT RESIDENCE HV

For over twenty years, our clients — a couple in their fifties — have called this modernist bungalow home. Originally built in 2006 to their own wishes, in collaboration with architect BURO II, the residence stretches 73 meters in length and 8.10 meters in width. It has been the setting for their family life ever since.

As part of the renovation, we redefined the kitchen and its relationship to the rest of the house. We introduced bleached walnut cabinetry and a travertine countertop to add warmth and tactility, while natural stone floor tiles anchor the space with a sense of calm permanence.

We finished the walls in a warm, nuanced technique that softens the incoming light and enriches the material palette. Through these interventions, the interior was subtly recalibrated to strengthen its dialogue with the surrounding forest — resulting in a space that feels both refined and timeless.

ABOUT RESTAURANT MAISON COLETTE

As Grain Designoffice, we had the privilege of collaborating with chef Thijs Vervloet, who entrusted us with translating his vision into a refined and soulful dining destination.

Maison Colette is a refined destination in the heart of Westerlo — an experience that blends classic Parisian elegance with contemporary sophistication. The restaurant offers a thoughtfully curated ambiance: from the serenity of its lush green oasis to the intimacy of a private dining space. The chef’s table invites guests to witness culinary artistry up close, while the five luxurious guest rooms extend the experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in timeless comfort.

The experience at Maison Colette begins the moment you arrive.
The entrance and reception area immediately set the mood: elegant, warm, and inviting.

The floor, finished in Carrara natural stone marble with a two-tone palette, creates an elegant foundation. The reception desk stands out with its generous rounded forms, combining wood with a high-gloss countertop for a refined contrast. That same gloss and curvature return in a ceiling element above the desk, visually tying the space together.

This reception area welcomes guests from start to finish — both for the hotel and the Michelin-starred restaurant — and marks the beginning of the Maison Colette experience.

Designed for our client — a woman with a steadfast spirit in her late sixties and her growing family — this 105 m² seaside apartment is a compact yet deeply personal retreat — a place for her to gather with her children and grandchildren by the sea.

Ressource’s L’Orénoque, applied to the ceiling in a green-to-khaki tone inspired by the Orinoco River, sets the atmosphere of the living room designed for cosy moments on the Supermoon sofa, complemented by a lacquered Minotti coffee table that brings subtle warmth and quiet luxury.

A combination of well-considered spot lighting and sculptural ambient lighting softly shapes the space, enhancing the mineral floor, lime-finished walls, and distinctive green ceiling that define the material palette of this family-oriented retreat—timeless, welcoming, and harmoniously attuned to the rhythm of seaside living.

At Grain designoffice, we had the honor of reimagining the Michelin-starred Cuines 33 in Knokke — the culinary home of Edwin & Fleur.

After years of success, they envisioned a new chapter: a dining experience where intimacy, creativity, and hospitality merge into something truly next level. Fleur ensures every guest feels cherished, while Edwin brings artistry to every plate. Together, they embody hospitality in its purest form.

Guests enter the restaurant through a moody, intimate entrance with where their first drinks and appetizers are served by Fleur. At the end of the night digestifs are served, setting the tone for the culinary journey.

With seating for just 16 guests, Cuines 33 now offers a journey of flavors and ambiance, where design and gastronomy come together in perfect harmony.
