*Rest in Peace*

Our tree is a melancholic tree
With purple flowers, pale green leaves
Sad, lonely weeping tree
That sheds it’s tears endlessly

It never dies and it never grows
It stays the same, timelessly
The impossible future it withholds
Showing us what could be

And in a way, I love to sit by it…
It’s good to find stillness inside of my head
Not all things in my mind are so quiet
I’d trade all the world for it instead

Don’t worry, it’s not poison you feed it
So, it would never know death
But it’s frustration and misery
That keeps it barely alive yet

I know you didn’t mean to plant it
You can blame this fertile ground
But you emanate these seeds
And they found a fecund mound

Since this was never bound to be
All I can do is to offer you a nest
So you can lie and finally sleep
Under this tree where my feelings rest
