In September I had the opportunity to attend a site visit organised by the Australian Institute of Building at Darcy Road Public School, a project currently being delivered by Taylor Construction.
Guided by Christopher Cofre Abarca , the project manager, we explored one of the latest School Infrastructure NSW projects, which includes the construction of 45 new General Learning Spaces.
It was a great experience to witness firsthand the complexities of delivering educational facilities and to gain valuable insights into the processes and challenges involved in constructing a modern school.
As part of my Master’s in Construction Management, I really appreciate opportunities like this to connect theory with practice and to learn directly from industry professionals.
