💜 HAIRCUT BY DONATION DAY - SAVE THE DATE - JUNE 28TH 💜
On June 28th from 9am-5pm, HairBenders Salon is hosting a haircut by donation event to support our lovely in the next step of her battle with her rare and aggressive cancer! Just after her 33rd birthday, Emilyy was diagnosed with stage three uterine leiomyosarcoma that has since progressed to stage four. This rare cancer affects roughly 6 in every 1,000,000 women, with a median age around 60 years old. She has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Next week, Emilyy will be starting 6 rounds of an experimental new chemotherapy that is not covered by Alberta Health, with each round costing up to $10,000.
If you know Emilyy, you know the bright smile and the heart that gives and gives and gives. We know it is our turn to give that energy back to her and we are excited to have the chance to work with our community to support this wonderful girl on June 28th!
