Exceptional c. 1890 sand-casting mold for a Columbia cap gun toy. This substantial foundry artifact was reportedly discovered within the walls of a foundry during demolition, giving it remarkable industrial and toy-manufacturing provenance. An unusual survivor from the late Victorian era and a striking piece for a collection of antique toys, cast-iron memorabilia or early manufacturing ephemera.

This original oil on board painting by Canadian artist Ralph Wallace Burton (1904–1983) captures the beauty of an autumn landscape in Dunrobin, Ontario. Rich with warm golden foliage, rugged Canadian Shield rock formations, and expressive brushwork, the painting beautifully reflects the Ottawa Valley countryside during peak fall colours.

Burton was a respected Canadian landscape painter whose works often celebrated the natural beauty of Ontario. This piece is titled Autumn in Dunrobin, Ont. and is signed by the artist in the lower left corner. An inscription on the reverse identifies the location as Dunrobin, Ontario.

The painting is presented in an attractive black and gold frame that complements the warm autumn palette. A wonderful acquisition for collectors of Canadian art, Ontario landscapes, Ottawa Valley history, or mid-century Canadian paintings.
