Welcome to Drawing House, your cozy neighbourhood art supply store, curated by artists for people who like to make things.

We’re a small, local Canadian business with a big soft spot for artists, makers, students, hobbyists, and anyone who has ever walked into an art store “just to look” and walked out with twelve tubes of paint.

Our shelves are thoughtfully stocked with tools and materials we genuinely love, including products from Canadian artists and makers whenever we can. Our team knows their stuff, loves talking shop, and is always happy to help you find the right material, troubleshoot a creative problem, or simply get excited about what you’re making.

Come visit us in person, browse our online store, take a class, or just wander the aisles until something sparks an idea.

No intimidating prerequisites. No need to already “be good at art.” Just curiosity, a willingness to try, and the occasional willingness to erase something spectacularly.

Come learn a new technique. Build your confidence. Try the medium you’ve always wanted to try. And meet other people who also think spending an afternoon making something from nothing sounds like an excellent use of time.

Ready to turn a blank sketchbook into your favourite place to be this summer? ✏️📖

Our Sketchbook Workshop starts NEXT WEEK, and it’s made for young artists who want to draw more, experiment more, and fill page after page with characters, ideas, observations, and creativity. No pressure. No perfection. Just the kind of sketchbook that gets dog-eared because you can’t stop opening it.

Spots are limited, and once the workshop begins, that’s it! Don’t let this be the one that got away.

Got a kid who spends their days inventing characters, creatures, and entire worlds in the margins of their homework? This camp was made for them.

🎨 Character Creation Camp
📅 July 6 to July 10
🕑 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM daily

Over five imagination-packed afternoons, young artists will create their own original character, discover who they are, where they came from, and what stories they carry with them. Through drawing, they’ll explore expression, personality, costume design, and visual storytelling before bringing their creations to life again through mixed media experiments and artistic reinterpretation.

By the end of the week, they’ll leave with more than artwork. They’ll leave with a character ready for adventures of their own.

Join us this Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM for the final uninstructed life drawing session of the term at Drawing House. Work from a live model in a relaxed, welcoming studio atmosphere and enjoy a few hours dedicated to drawing.

This is the last life drawing session before we break for the summer and resume in the fall.
