Blending whimsical folk art with touches of realism and impressionism, Alison creates colourful worlds inspired by the Bay of Fundy, the Annapolis Valley, and a lifelong love of storytelling. Her signature realistic skies stretch above rolling hills, coastal waters, wildlife, and wonderfully unexpected creatures — creating scenes that feel both familiar and dreamlike.
Raised in a creative family surrounded by books, music, art, and imagination, Alison developed an early love for colour and storytelling. After rediscovering painting later in life, she found a way to bring together the places, memories, and moments that have shaped her journey.
At the heart of Alison’s work is a simple but beautiful idea: there is still wonder to be found in the world around us.
Her paintings celebrate the land, water, and skies of the Maritimes while inviting us to slow down, look a little closer, and perhaps create a story of our own.
