More news. I've been short staffed the past 2 weeks....but for good reason.

Sarah was accepted into NSCC Ivany to complete the 2 year Print & Design Diploma. This will help build her embroidery service at The Top Stitch. She has been monumental to the creation of The Top Sitch...from...day ..one. (she was the inspiration for The Sewing Guild, our first store)

Claire and I have been focused on the tailor shop as business is booming as we get things ready for the launch of our classroom at Bedford Place Mall.
At Bedford Place Mall...They are currently working on the roof above our store so its closed for appointment only. Once im back from Paris, we will be on boarding new staff and instructors.
Sewing machines can still be picked up/droppedoff at Sunnyside Tailor shop Mon - Fri 10am -6pm

Just a few days away from this year's Halifax Fashion Week. The Top Stitch/Eli'sawey Designs team of designers, jewelry artists and stylists will be showcasing work throughout the week starting with opening night on Sat, Aug 9th.

Good morning card collectors at the Bedford Place Mall !! The Top Stitch is open today from 10 am - 4 pm for all, card collectors or not. The store where Leavanny shops for all their sewing supplies and fabric!

Alterations: hem and steaming

This was a VERY different hem! Stretchy fabric ....it was GLUED to create a completely seamless stitch-less hem. 1in matching fabric and wonder under tape was used to create this unique finish.

Alterations: half hem 2 layers with rolled hem, fix zipper, hooks and rushing.
